The Tokyo Game Show 2012!
SC2SEA.com is proud to be hosting the Starcraft 2 qualifiers for the the Asia e-Sports Cup held at the Tokyo Game Show in Japan. Sort of like a mini-wcg for the SEA/ANZ region, the Asia e-Sports Cup will unite the best CS and Starcraft 2 gamers across the SEA/ANZ region. The tournament's main sponsor is Alienware.
Key Information
- Includes an international Starcraft 2 / CS tournament
- 7 winners of the respective qualifiers will receive all expense paid trips to japan (air ticket* + accommodation)
- 7 different qualifiers for 10 nations will be held online, run by SC2SEA with the help of the various head admins of the respective countries.
- Finals has a prize pool of $5,000 USD
Registration has begun for the Australian, Thai and Malaysian qualifiers to be held this week.
- Registration is absolutely free and has to be done on the CyAC website, our tournament partner.
- It has a lot of cool social features (e.g you can comment on anything tournament and any match!) so be sure to check it out.
- The organizer has specified only citizens can play in their respective qualifiers and represent their respective nations in Japan.
- The tournament is only open to SEA + ANZ citizens.
You need to have a Starcraft 2 SEA "game account" tagged to your account registered on their website. As all qualifiers will be online, identity verification might be requested if suspicious activity is suspected and strict punishments will be handed out to offenders.
The Australian qualifiers will be streamed by Team Immunity and players can sign up for only ONE qualifier. The sole winner of each of these two qualifiers will battle it out at the GESC LAN finals the following week in Melbourne. Should the player NOT be already qualified for GESC/ACL during that weekend, Team Immunity has offered to pay for the flight expenses to Melbourne. nirvAnA and BakaInu will be responsible for overseeing the overall tournament qualifiers and any inquires can be directed to them.
