So, since i actually have no knowledge about laptop performances, I was wondering if this laptop could run sc2 200/200 battles. I'm playing on low settings
Acer Aspire 7750G-2458G75MN Intel Core i5 2450M 8GB DDR3 ( not sure bout speed, probably 1333) Radeon HD7670M 750GB @ 5400RPM
I will be connecting this to a 22 inch screen.
If any1 has other good laptops, please let me know. My price range is about 700-750 euro's
I've used the search function but with the recent new intel processors, I prefer having some new opinions. Thanks in advance

| Is the 17" inch screen a must? There is an 11" inch laptop with an NVIDIA GT 650M with a 768p display that will run sc2 fluently on high that starts at 666 euros. Last edit: 2012-06-26 23:09:34 |

no 17 inch a must but i would like to have at least 15 inch for travelling. 11 inch is really small i think. Could you give me a link to the laptop? I dont mind checking it out, who knows!
oohyeah, i dont need to run sc2 on high. Im playing on low on my i5 2500k 6870 etc etc. I just want to get a laptop since i will be moving out and only be home in the weekend and i dont want to carry my pc around all the time haha ^^.
So yeah a laptop that can run 200/200 fights fluently and is around 700-750 euros.Last edit: 2012-06-27 02:13:18 |

So then a Sager/Clevo W150ER or NP6165 sounds like something suitable for you. Either way, if it can run it on high fluently, that means it'll definitely run 1v1 at 200/200 fights on low I'll find a link to a netherlands or something in europe with the laptop.
EDIT: nvm, doesn't seem like 700-750 euros is enough. :/ these netherlands resellers have pretty limited config optionsLast edit: 2012-06-27 02:56:04 |

So, i'm thinking of getting a HP Probook 4530s. The resolution is 1366x768(wide) or 1600x900. If i connect this to my other monitor, can i just use 1920x1080?
And this laptop would run sc2 easily right? Intel Core i5 2450M Radeon HD7650M 500GB @7200rpm 4GB 1333hz DDR3 |

This right here is a reason you shouldn't get an Acer.
5400RPM drive is going to have longer load times and longer seek times, no reason not to have a 7200RPM drive in a laptop these days. Especially if you're going to be gaming on it. Samsung, Dell, Asus, or HP are far better choices. Those four are really the only laptops gamers should be looking at.

Don't go with a Pro-book. If you want to go with HP (not a bad choice) go with one of the intel i5 based Pavilions, like the Pavilion dv6t-7000 and order it custom.
Can get a i5-3210M, GeForce GT 650M,and 8GB DDR3 for less than $900 (not counting tax). Less than $800 if you go for the Geforce 630M. Last edit: 2012-06-28 23:56:02 |

Alright thanks. Yeah i was looking on the hp site but it pretty hard to get some of them where I live.
I found this 1: Sony Vaio VPCF24L1E Intel Core i5 2450M GeForce GT540M 640GB @ 5400RPM. I cant find any decent ones with 7200rpm.
Well i found lots of hp's with 7200rpm but most of them have 6470m or 7470m vid cards(all have i5 and 2.5ghz+ though) and im not sure if i will be able to run sc2 fluently with a 6470m
I can also get my hands on a Lenova G780 but im not sure if Lenova is a decent brand.Last edit: 2012-06-29 00:33:13 |

I can't find that specific model on Sony's site, but Viaos are a auto no-go for me. They're cheap, plasticy, and their support is attrocious. Even their support site is terrible, it took me like an hour once just to find drivers for one of the damn things.
If you're looking for something better than integrated graphics, Lenovo's Y series is going to be your only options. I'm not a huge fan of Asus, but a lot of people have had good experiences. Most of their models can be found very affordable online on sites like New Egg, might be your best bet. |

You can try to get this one
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834215404
but with an i5 processor . The graphics card has to be the same model (GT640 or GT650). If you really want an SSD the 17,3’’ version has an extra hard drive slot but it’s quite heavy (3,3kg). Other than that there are 17,3’’ gaming laptops from Asus or MSI with better cooling and usually better screens but they are very heavy (over 4kg). |

| Are you looking at HP's consumer website or business website? As far as I know, the vast majority of consumer HP dv series laptops if not all of them use GT graphics, except for the Trinity models. |
