Hello everyone I'm starting with a news channel about sc2 and i need an opinion about the intro:
Any thoughts on it? Criticism? What do you like or dislike? What would you change?
I know it's a bit lengthy and i thought about finishing it right after showing sc2 news but at the same time the rest of the music fits well with the animation and it ends quite smoothly.
I'm starting this Monday but unfortunately it will be in Polish cause i want to support my small community and if possible interest more people in SC2 : ) When it succeeds in my community then maybe i will try doing similar stuff in English.
Okay after listening to your opinions and opinions of my friends I've shortened the intro to 19 seconds and did a new intro that is more news style edited in a rush but ill work on it.

The first version is the zerg orientated cause it connects to my race of choice and the name of the channel. The idea was to have a nice looking intro to the channel as a general
The second version is cut from the blizzards multiplayer update. It shows all the races, its shorter (10 seconds less) and has more news feel. I'm going to add my own letters to the intro, add my own blur effect so the "multiplayer update" letters or try to remove them (but it is time consuming so i think its not worth it). It's just an idea to contrast the first intro
So what you think of it now?

i reckon you could cut the sound at 18 sec, skip the last little music part but have the video fade out like it does now. start doing the segment during the video fade out or what not. that's my first impression.. nice video

That was the first version but with different logo. I'm still thinking about doing that but i can't decide.

The intro as a whole was good but, I think the music doesn't fit the theme of a news channel. The music is too epic for just news. The music doesn't detract from the intro it just could be improved.

It's good! I love the animation and think the music fits pretty well with it (the music certainly doesn't hurt, anyways). As far as possible criticism goes, adding in the other 2 races to make it more "well-balanced" would be a benefit, though it's not too big of a gripe; if it'd make the intro too long, it'd be better to go just with the zerg themes rather than stretch it out much longer. The blankness at the end may be like a second or two too long (as there is nothing after 0:24) but it's not really a big deal at all. Those two minor things aside, the intro looks well done as a whole and I wish you the best of luck with your work! It's good to see people supporting their SC2 communities!

I dont like it. Well, YOUR INTRO is the last 30 seconds of the StarCraft II: Zerg Reveal Trailer @ Blizzcon 2011. Point is, you need to work a bit harder, unless ur trolling. Sry son, you asked for an opinion...

I like it. HOWEVER, you should make the subtitle more distinguishable from the Starcraft II logo. Along with that, you should change the name to something that appeals more to the niche audience you're trying to capture.

Your point? I never said i created the animation... I can use any recourse from blizzard whenever i like it. The music is from warcraft 3
I did the edit matched the music (and it wasn't that easy) and did everything i wanted to look it good : ) GJ detective : P
The zerg theme is cause of my channel name and my race i currently play : P (channel name is NattLair and i play zerg) : P

I don't see the point of it because despite the fact that it is for the Polish scene it isn't "Polish news" but Sc2 news. I've seen many channels with many news for different games and I didn't see any national aspects and i don't think they are required.
Please bear in mind I'm not yet a master of Photoshop nor Aftereffects. Can't do my own logo for now or create my own animation wth it (i could do it in 3d but it would took too much time to look it good so it isn't worth the time for now).
The goal was to gather music, graphics and whatever i can find and stitch it all together to bring some good quality news so i can start as soon as possible. (without using intro that has no connection with sc2 and is a simple after effect intro with fancy effects for letters ;P)
I will cut it and fade it out around 18 seconds and show is it better or worse ; P
And it can't be shorter then it is (which is 19 seconds) of course i will be talking after that with the date and logo fading in (im just checking the intro ; P)
