Spain did struggle. This is the first time they've looked dominant. I don't think Spain would have been able to handle Germany in the semi-final, even as poorly as Germany played (if Spain put in the same performance as they did against Croatia/Portugal, for example).

I don't know why people assume this. Spain hasn't looked good until this game in this tournament. It's common knowledge. Germany looked good in most of their games, but not against Italy. It's like the inverse, honestly.
Awww, you must be new to football or have no idea how it works. That's cute. I'll give you a tip: The team that plays the prettiest football in your personal opinion isn't always the best team. A team that concedes 6 goals in 5 game is definitely not ever in any universe better than one that concedes 1 goal in 6 games.

Okay for people in the cheap seats.
A team that wins 3 major tournaments in a row, an unprecedented level of success and didn't concede a single goal in the knockout stages of any of those three tournaments is by far the best team in the world. Far, far superior to a team they've knocked out of two of those tournaments and who can't defend even against the likes of Greece and Denmark.
