It depends how both teams go out and play the match, if it's something similar to the group stage match, it should be really interesting, and if Spain decides to be the Spain that played the last few minutes vs Portugal, I think they can win. But of Italy pressures Spain and gets possession of the ball the match should be pretty open. The Ballotelli-Cassano vs Ramos-Pique battle will be rather awesome. |

It will be very hard to score on Spain though. I'm guessing 1-1 after full time and then Spain wins in overtime/penalties.
If both play at full potential (which is impossible) there is no way Italy beats Spain, in this decade. However some players have played like 80+ games so far, it will come down to which team is more tired or manages better the nerves.
I don't see what that have to do with my post... but ok.
Guessing how they are going to play (based on the past) is Fiction-Football. Who wins if Spain plays like vs Ireland, and Italy as vs Croatia? Or Spain vs Switzerland (WC) vs any Italy?
Yes, many things can happen depending on how they play, LOL. |

Someone wrote this about the France-Spain semi's, and the description fits Spain's strategy perfectly:
This risk-averse Spanish keepball is the footballing equivalent of Mormon sex, joyless, dutiful, prissy, and single-minded about producing a result.

Last thing either of these teams cares for is entertaining you. |

When they played in the group stage, I was cheering for Spain, and I saw them as favorites.
Tonight, I would probably say the opposite on both those things. Italy have lookes soooo good in the last two games, whereas Spain hasn't really been impressing me that much this tournament. I mean they've played really well, but I'd say Italy > Germany > Spain so far.
Guess we'll find out ^^ |
