Me and IU decided to merge team so we'll be SK Telecom T3 with the following roster:
essbee (T) D+
Skeggaba (Z) D+
PsyonicReaver (P) D+
razryv (P) D
sgs.iu (P) D+
guygun (T) D/D+
sgs.protossu (TvZ, TvP, PvT) D+
Also, I registered the team on BWCL but I'm not sure if I did the right thing. Is it: Create a clan them let people join it and leave it there, or you also gotta sign up for the current Brood War Clan League?

sigh.... idk who you talked to or something but there is no joint collaboration going on between SKT3 and StaR Maknaes..... StaR Maknaes is gonna be coming back season 3 to continue our reign from the end of season 2....

mhh i don' t agree at all with this. Only Artanis has moved to C ranks and he had a 13-1 record in D ranks, and there are other players with similar stats. that imo are way past D+/C- and want to be big fish in small bowl. Plus if they stay in D ranks how on earth do they play vs "better" players than them? They only stagnate and will never get better at their games, while if they went to C ranks sure they would lose some games but they would improve overall their game. This is not unnecesary drama just real preoccupation to have a balanced league.
I assume he just means play the majority of their practice games against yellow rankers.

What I meant is the league seems pretty balanced in the sense that every team has 1 or 2 players who seem far better than the rest and this is a motivating factor for the rest rather than a reason for people to complain. Then again I'm just lazy to perform thorough background checks and I just don't like to say no to people who want to play in DRTL. Take for instance the MVP issue. I'm 4-0 vs him (granted, all of those were close games) But he couldn't hit C- to save his life, yet his trash talking got him banned from DRIT.
I'm not trying to start anything, and this is definitely none of my concern as I'm not the one organizing it nor doing any work for it besides consulting for VS and maybe play a game or 2 in 9 weeks if you guys feel like taking me in - after all skeggaba and babo are my e-lovers. In the end this is just left to your discretion pebble/organizers, I was just irritated of all the complains about APM/EAPM and their relationship to skill and what they would want done about the issue. Keep doing a good job.

Second, there will be no 2v2 happening this season. Sorry to the people who wanted it, but this league is 1v1 oriented.

This is correct. Your team will be slotted into ladder once Season 2 starts.

Best of 5...so only 5 players need to be available each match? Making ideal team sizes being around 8 or so, assuming some people won't be able to make matches and such.
How does the lineup thing work? Would we send the order we want our players to play in, the other team does the same and then the matches are announced before the matches take place? I wasn't there last DRTL so I don't know how that all works. From a manager's perspective, it would be nice if a) we knew ahead of time what players were playing whom, and b) if we could choose which players to send out, e.g. Team 1 says they want playerA to play Player2, then Team 2 says they want Player1 to play Player C, etc. |

Yeah, 5 people per match.
As for the lineups, you show up at the announced time and you have 15 minutes to relay your lineup to an admin. After both teams have submitted lineups, it will be announced officialy and you may begin. |

Wait so we don't know in advance what players we will be playing against? Hrm. Would be nice if we did so we can practice that matchup, although I suppose this means people have to expect every kind of matchup and playstyle. I sorta like the idea of snipers and prepared builds for particular players, which you could do if you had pre-known lineups.

Well, we tried the pre-announced lineups last season and people submitted lineups extremely late - it just didn't work out.
As for postponements... obviously, your opponent has to agree, but if he doesn't know who he's going to play till the last minute it could prove somewhat tough to do so. |
