+ Show Spoiler [Results] +I will try to keep this updated until the end of the day this time. Haha just kidding I'm just going to copy/paste firebolt's stuff.
Dark Taboo < Alpha Volley Union
Dark Taboo: Rook Rook Oneiros Daredevil Daredevil Maulus Alpha Volley Union: Absolution Absolution Oneiros Griffin Griffin Rifter
The Rooks of Dark Taboo couldn't keep the Absolutions jammed, and the Daredevils couldn't keep them from closing. They Rooks died first (along with the Griffins of AVU) and after the majority of Dark Taboo's power went down, AVU cleaned up anything that couldn't run away. Manifest Destiny. < Verge of Collapse
Manifest Destiny: Huginn, 2 tornados, 3 hawks Verge of Collapse: 2 sleipnirs, scimitar, 3 merlins
First tornados we are seeing. VOC is using a standard minmatar rush strat.
The huginn happily keeps the VOC sleipnirs from getting too close to the tornados, while their tornados splits dps between 3-4 targets for some reason. The hawks focus on trying to kill the scimi but the scimi holds out fine. Huginn didn't switch webs to the merlins quickly enough and the merlins manage to land a scram on one of the nados, which quickly goes down. The other tornado follows quickly, same with the rest of the team.
To kill any of the merlins MD would have had to apply all 3 huginn webs to it, but the tornados with their huge 800mm guns would still not be able to track and kill them under scimi reps. And if you web one merlin, the other 2 are free to run amok and land scrams on the tornados. The hawks were vital here, and should have focused each of the merlins down one by one rather than going for the scimi.
Verge of Collapse wins.
Turns out the tornados were arty fit instead of AC, which means they could've definitely blapped each of the merlins one by one if they had focused everything on it rather than having the hawk run after the scimitar. Too bad they didn't do that. Shadow Cartel < Tribal Conclave
Shadow cartel: 2 Proteus, oneiros, 2 taranis Tribal Conclave: Sleipnir, scimitar, blackbird, rupture, 2 sabres
1 of the proteuses dies 5 seconds into the game, possibly boundary violation there? Or dc, not sure The remaining 1 proteus kills the 2 sabres and 1 rupture. The sleipnir lands a web on the oneiros and gets it down to structure before losing the web. The oneiros starts to burns out being a lot faster than the sleipnir but goes down anyway. The rest of shadow cartel goes down.
Not sure what happened to the first proteus but it possibly cost them the win. Once their oneiros got webbed by the sleipnir (the oneiros should be faster than the sleipnir with the taranis's webbing the sleipnir so not sure how this happened) it was over.
Tribal Conclave wins.
edit: Yeah, the proteus dc'd. That sucks. Dystopia Alliance < Pandemic Legion
Dystopia Alliance: Widow, claymore, keres, 3 ishkur Pandemic Alliance: Sleipnir, 3 cyclones, 2 griffins
Widow?!?!?!?!
Game starts, damps and jams attempt to land on every single PL ship. The PL minmatar rush team still manage to get in range of the Widow and completely rape it in a couple seconds. Lul. Lots of PL ships taking damage with DA not focused on anything. Two DA ishkurs are go down but they manage to take a griffin with them. The cyclones and sleipnir all pile onto the claymore, neuting it out preventing it from boosting and it dies. The second PL griffin goes into structure but lands a jam on the ishkur and burns away at 3000m/s. Rest of DA die.
Pandemic Legion win. Heretic Nation > Romanion-Legion
Heretic nation: Oneiros, 3 brutix, 2 hawks Romanian-Legion: 2 machariels, celestis, griffin
The 3 brutixes and 2 machariels land on 0 on each other..................................kinda silly. The machariels should never be warped in at 0; if HN had brought vindis they would've been fucked.
Slugfest between brutixes and machariels. The oneiros is damped and has to burn in to start repping the brutixes. The griffin is trying to jam the brutixes to prevent the damage going onto the machariel. If the active armor tanked machariels manage to kill one of the brutixes quickly (reducing incoming damage by a third) while getting lucky jam cycles on them, there is a chance that the machariel could hold and rep its armor back up. The one brutix goes down while the machariel starts to bleed structure, but the oneiros is now in range and the griffin decides to switch jams onto the oneiros instead of the brutix, so the 2 remaining brutixes kill the machariel. At this point all of HN are on 0, making the damps useless and they chew through the rest of the RL ships.
Heretic nation win. Evoke > Wormhole Holders
Evoke: Scimitar, 3 cyclones, 2 jaguars
Wormhole Holders: 2 maelstroms, 1 loki
No idea what Wormhole Holders is trying to do here. Their ships have all warped to 0 and instantly get scram webbed. The maelstroms try to primary the scimitar while the scimitar is happily zipping around 50km away from everything. The loki makes a valiant effort to armor tank but eventually goes down. With the scimitar happily repping everyone safely, the maelstroms are unable to accomplish anything at all and go down.
Evoke wins. The RONIN > Dirt Nap Squad
The RONIN: Widow, basilisk, cyclone, 2 harpy, sabre
Dirt Nap Squad: 2 rattlesnakes, 2 vengeance, kestrel
Widow and 2 rattlesnakes. Wut?
Both vengeances from DNS pop quickly with no damage going back onto Ronin. The Rattlesnakes have heavy neuts in their highs and are neuting and primarying the basilisk, while the last support ship for DNS drops. However the big question at this point is whether Ronin is able to break the rattlesnakes' tanks.
At this point nothing is happening, the basilisk is keeping everyone on Ronin up while they continue to try and break the rattlesnakes tanks. They kill a few of the rattlesnake's drones but there are plenty more of those where they came from.
One rattlesnake bleeds into armor before his ancillary shield booster finishes reloading. He holds for a minute or so but then drops. The last rattlesnake holds out for about 3 minutes trying to deny Ronin crucial points but dies with 6 seconds left on the timer.
The Ronin win. Gypsy band > Curatores Veritatis Alliance
Gypsy band: 2 sleipnir, scimitar, 3 merlins Curatores Veritatis Alliance: 2 sleipnir, scimitar, 3 merlins
Exactly same ships on both sides. CVA attempt to jam 5 different ships on GB and start primarying one of GB's sleipnirs which drops into low shields, but the scimitar is able to keep the sleipnir up between jam cycles. One of the GB sleipnirs managed to land a web on the CVA scimitar, CVA have got to land a jam on that sleipnir or the scimitar will go down. Unfortunately this doesn't happen and it drops, the rest of CVA follows.
Gypsy band win. Fatal Ascension > Kill it with Fire
Fatal Ascension: 2 sleipnirs, 2 kitsunes, 2 jaguars
Kill it with Fire: Curse, oneiros, oracles, 3 enyos
1 FA kitsune gets alpha'd at the very start, the three KIWF enyos follow quickly. The sleipnirs apply dps to the oneiros but the curse is doing a decent job TDing the sleipnirs and neuting the jags, preventing the jags from webbing the oneiros and pinning it down. After doing so well, the curse randomly stopped TDing the sleipnirs for a moment (jammed? switching scripts? who knows) allowing them to kill the oneiros anyway. The remaining KIWF ships follow quickly. Possible big mistake by the curse.
Fatal Ascension wins.
PS this commentator has the most amazing mustache I have ever seen Rote Kapelle > PERCUSSIVE PIZZA TIME DIPLOMACY
Rote Kapelle: Bhaalgorn, oneiros, oracle, 2 merlins, punisher PERCUSSIVE PIZZA TIME DIPLOMACY: 2 drakes, scimitar, 3 harpies
Damps quickly go on the PPTD drakes preventing them from applying dps since they've warped in at range. One of the drakes fucks up and goes into bhaalgorn rape circle range (crazy long range webs and strong as fuck neuts which would instantly turn off hardeners/mwd). RK choose to keep damps on the drakes so the PPTD scimi is somehow able to keep up the drake.
Five minutes into the match and no one has died. RK manage to snag a harpy about 6 minutes into the match. Finally RK switch a damp on the scimi (which was left alone up till now), stopping it from repping the drake which dies quickly.
At this point I suspect RK decide to go full out for points and plop all their damps on the scimi, sacrificing their oneiros to kill the other drake. RK continue to try to kill the scimitar as the clock ticks down but the scimi survives, denying them precious points.
RK wins. Capital Punishment. < Suddenly Spaceships.
Capital Punishment: 3 talos, scimitar, merlin Suddenly spaceships: Vindicator, scimitar, cyclone, harpy, 2 merlins
So the talos's warp to 0. They land on top of the vindicator.
Need I say more?
This holds the new record for fastest match, taking only 2 minutes 30 seconds to end.
Suddenly Spaceships wins. Black Legion < Mildly Intoxicated
Black Legion: Basilisk, 3 ferox, 2 hookbill
Mildly Intoxicated: 2 gila, drake, stiletto
MI stiletto is first to drop, but at the same time they managed to land a web on the BL basilisk. For some reason they damp it too, but it doesn't matter as it goes down.
It should've been smooth sailing for MI from here but one of their Gila stops moving, gets webbed and brought down. For some reason from here the BL's hookbills don't bother to web the gila/drake and prefer to chase the stilettos, allowing the gila and drakes to kite forever and kill one of BL's feroxes. After killing a second stiletto, the hookbills correctly identify the gila as the next target to web. Unfortunately it's too late as for some reason BL leave their ECM drones on the useless stiletto instead of trying to reduce the incoming drake dps, which pops their ferox.
At this point it's ferox + 2 hookbills against gila + drake + stiletto. They've managed to land webs on the gila and stiletto but it's too little too late as the last ferox goes down, the stiletto breaks free of the hookbill webs (somehow) and kites away. At this point the only thing to do for the BL hookbills is to kite forever but for some reason they decide to continue webbing the gila, losing one hookbill before the time is up.
Mildly Intoxicated wins. The Fourth District < The Gorgan Empire
The Fourth District: 2 kronos, oneiros, vengeance
The Gorgan Empire: Basilisk, naga, 2 ferox, harpy, merlin
Both teams start by rushing right at each other. The kronos (which I should mention have webs as scary as those on the vindi) land random webs on random ships but keep losing them just as quickly. The TFD oneiros gets scram/webbed and dies quickly with the Kronos's not actually achieving anything. The rest of TFD's ships just get outnumbered and crushed at this point. No losses from TGE.
The Gorgon Empire win. No Holes Barred < Team Liquid
No Holes Barred: 2 sleipnir, oneiros, merlin, incursus, rifter
Team Liquid: 3 tengus, vigil
HERE WE GO
RIFTER DOWN INCURSUS DOWN MERLIN DOWN SERG SCRAMMED LOLOLOL NVM KWARK TYPING IN CORP CHAT WHIEL DUALBOXING LOL [20:00:59] Wrathful Penguins > fucking owned btw Choke Point < Fluffeh Bunneh Murder Squad
Choke Point: 2 machariels, daredevil, 3 griffins Fluffeh Bunney Murder Squad: Hurricane, deimos, oneiros, blackbird, enyo
Nothing happened for first 3 minutes except machs randomly neuting the deimos and splitting dps. The daredevil takes a huge amount of damage even without being webbed/scrammed and goes down. Attempted jams are everywhere on both sides so not much going on. One machariel eventually gets scram/webbed and dies, though he manages to pull a blackbird down with it. With just one machariel left, for some reason (possibly for next round seeding reasons), FBMS stop firing on the machariel for several minutes until they have 30 seconds left, at which point they change their mind and try to kill it, but it survives in structure when the clock hits 0.
Choke point had the better ship composition but still died anyway.
Fluffeh Bunneh Murder Squad wins. The Godfathers > Test Alliance Please Ignore
The Godfathers: Scimitar, 3 cyclones, 2 jaguars Test Alliance Please Ignore: 2 sleipnirs, kitsune, keres, jaguar, dramiel
TEST starts jamming and damping almost all of Godfathers' ships and both teams target jaguars. The TEST jag is webbed and is first to drop, quickly followed by a dramiel. The battle is a really slow one with TEST applying a bit of dps to the scimitar, but the Godfathers continue to snag ship after ship, killing them one by one. Godfathers lose nothing.
Godfathers win.Last edit: 2012-07-02 05:49:33 |

Game 1: Dark Taboo - Alpha Volley Union
Dark Taboo 2 Rooks, oneiros, 2 daredevils, maulus
Alpha volley union 2 absolutions, oneiros, 2 griffin, rifter
Summary Lots of ewar on each team. AVU's griffins are first to go down, but they take a DT rook in return. The absolutions manage to get on 0 with the other rook and take it down, despite flying suboptimally and orbitting at 500m. It's over for Dark Taboo at this point, they can only try to stay alive and wait out the clock at this point, but the daredevils get themselves webbed somehow and die.
AVU wins.Last edit: 2012-07-02 00:10:04 |

Game 3: Shadow Cartel - Tribal Conclave

Tribal Conclave Sleipnir, scimitar, blackbird, rupture, 2 sabres

Tribal Conclave wins.
