All games will be played on the Battle.net EU server. All games occurring BEFORE quarter finals (Ro8) can be hosted directly by players. Matches from quarter finals onwards need to be hosted by the matchadmin. In special cases and with the agreement of the matchadmin you are allowed to host and start the match by yourself.
Starting from Ro8, if a match was played without the matchadmin or his permission, the match will be stated as invalid. The matchadmin responsible for your Ro8 games should contact you the Tournament Wall of comments on GameCreds.com - you can also ask for him there if he didn't.
Streamers are welcome to join as Observers BEFORE Ro4 (semifinals), and only if both players agree to it. Semifinals (Ro4) and Finals are exclusively streamed by GameCreds.com authorized streamers.
- Best of 1 until the first Quarter Finals (Ro8) - then Best of 3 for the semi-finals (Ro4) - Finals will be played in Bo5
In Best of 1 the map is always fixed and shown on the Tournament Page (or below).
In Best of three and Best of five a map veto (removal and pick) system is used, the loser of the first game will be able to choose the next map, after the winner has vetoed (or not) one map from the map pool.
You will soon be able to upload match media (replays) directly in the Tournament Tree - in the meantime, all match media (screenshots, replays, etc) must be kept for at least 14 days.
Faking or manipulating match media is of course forbidden and will result in severe penalties - don't test us. Match media (screenshots/replays) should be named clearly based on what it is! If you filed a complaint, and the admin work is hindered because of bad media naming, the admin might simply discard it - so please pay attention and use accurate wording.
Please resolve any problems that might occur before the match starts. It is strongly advised to close all "bandwidth-consuming" applications running in the background (P2P/download softwares, online video, emails...) to avoid painful lags during the game. Specific agreements between the teams/players have to be posted as comments on the Tournament Wall.
Each player has to use the nickname that is entered in his/her GameCreds Starcraft 2 profile. For instance, a player that has registered the profile "Titio" on GameCreds.com has to show up on Battle.net with the same profile, to play the games.
If a player drops due to lagging out/Battle.net issue, the game has to be rehosted under the following conditions: - First 4 minutes of the match, if there was no opponent contact. - If a player drops after the 4 minutes, his opponent can choose wether to restart the game or take the win.
If a player pauses a game he/she has to mention a reason for the interruption and how long it will approximately take. The game can only be resumed by the player that paused the game after he/she asks his opponent if he/she is ready.
Violation of this rule will be handled as unsportsmannship and can lead to a rehost.
Observers are only allowed if both players agree. Exception to this rules are GameCreds admins and people that are explicitly allowed to observe by an admin (e.g. shoutcasters or streamers). Under no conditions it is allowed to play with referees when players are hosting the games.
The only way to surrender a match is to using the surrender function in-game. Saying "gg" or similar does not count as surrender. If your opponent types "gg" or similar while you believe they are at a disadvantage, you should continue to play to win, until the game is won, or they have surrendered.
