Bureaucracy Mafia!

Ver , Incognito, and dreamflower are helping me host this game. Don’t bother PMing them about anything though, as they’re pretty lazy hosts.

General Rules

This game uses all the standard TL mafia rules and follows the ban list. In the interest of only presenting the new game or host-specific information, the large legal document that is the Model OP will be omitted from this post.

Encryption:
Don't do it.

Activity:
You must post at least once every 24 hours and vote every day cycle. If this will conflict with your schedule please let me know beforehand so I can announce to your fellow players that you won't be there for that time period. If you are clearly trying to skirt this requirement you will get replaced, while if you are actively contributing but happen to miss for a bit, that's okay.

Spam:
I am a nazi on spam. Consolidate your posts and keep them focused towards contributing towards the game. Please keep the thread readable. You will get one warning and I won't hesitate to replace you, so tread carefully. Feel free to clarify anything with me.

Editing:
Editing is not allowed for any reason. Please preview your posts before posting to avoid formatting errors. But I'd rather you not double post just to fix a formatting error. If this happens, PM me, and I may let you edit. If you double post, make sure it has game relevant content.

Manner:
Please keep it civil in here. Just because this is a game doesn't mean you have license to insult or disrespect each other. I will be very harsh on insults and players who create a bad atmosphere. Also i may ban you for using the words derp or herp just because, so be warned!

Signups:
Signups are open, with preference prioritized for skilled, active players who do not have a history of disrupting games. Promising new players are also welcome to signup. If you would like to make a case for why you should be included feel free to pm me. The game is capped at 27 players.

Town wins when all the Mafia are dead
Mafia wins when all the town are dead.

One of our reporters, Chezinu, under the alias of Walton, has garnered vital informatioin about how the corporation "PCP Enterprises" operates.

The organization operates by a typical bureaucratic chain of command illustrated below. Altogether, there are 9 mafia.

Communication and knowledge works differently here than in normal mafia or other sleeper cell games. The conglomerate runs on typical bureaucratic hierarchy.

-The CEO knows the Chairman of the Board and the Chairman of Marketing. He can send orders to one of them every half cycle.

-The Chairman of the Board and the Chairman of Marketing know 3 minions each. They can send orders to one minion every half cycle.

-There is no upwards or lateral communication.

-Minions have no knowledge. However, they each may have an ability. The three executive officers have no innate abilities.

-Any communication is in the form of an order and is one way. The executive pm's the mod, and the mod pm's the intended target. Unlike in previous sleeper cell games there will be strict censoring of any attempt to communicate the names of mafia members. However, there will be no word limit either. So there will be plenty of room to dictate strategy.

Can the slow, lumbering, bureaucratic behemoth mafia structure prevail with its sheer weight?

Extra Information:
The mafia kill process goes like this:
Every day, all mafia members except for the CEO send in a name on who they wish to kill. Then, the CEO must choose to kill one player on the list by the night deadline.

If the Chairman of the Board dies, does the CEO communicate directly with his Minions?
Also, what are the exact restrictions on their communications? They can't communicate downwards names of fellow mafia (the Chairman can't tell each Minion the identity of their "brothers"), but they can state names of townies and stuff right? Is there a limit with that as well? Since if one mentions a lot of townies, they will find out who their buddies are by process of elimination

I may join after I finish all my tests (if this is still in the signup phase), which will be by Thursday.

Also, I wonder what would happen if the CEO's orders contradict that of what the Chairman (for instance) knows?
Like the CEO tells him "try to get player X killed", but player X is one of the Chairman's minions or something

Try this one then my friend:

I am currently playing in a Normal (also hydrad uselessly in Magic

) and I'm signed up for a mini, so if I signed up for this one I'd be overworked

Edit: also stuff with distinctly non-normal setups has never been a strongpoint for me. Any game I've played with non-normal mechanics I've always been distinctly silent during setup discussion ^^

This is Ver's game right? Interesting setup.

Will the roles and positions be randomed?

This could go so badly if scum get terrible senior management. Or worse terrible independent minions

This is going to require a lot of work from scum to be organised. Town is also going to be so confused because Scum won't be working as a normal team.

There is no upwards or lateral communication.

There goes scum's biggest advantage. No one to bounce ideas off. I look forward to some on the job learning.
