| While making a map, I found this this in the bottom left corner (using the Castanar tileset). They actually move around too. Anybody seen it before? Last edit: 2012-07-06 00:36:03 |

They seem to clusterd to be random.
You sure your not pulling a phrank?
If not, could it be some part of the water texture default? |

| Dafuq is that.... Pretty interesting find you got there. I guess Blizzard got jealous of ESV's space shark and made a space beetle? |

I have no idea what it is.
@Guardian85: No, it's not a prank. Check it out yourself.

| Ah, great find! you found the extremely elusive editor bug. These creatures come into maps and feed on them before quickly fleeing so they wont be exterminated. Quite a find indeed, even though you were lucky your map survived without any damages, next time I suggest creating some vikings near the bugs so they will be dealt with swiftly, before they have a chance of harming your map file. | This is also on a cortex map. There is a doodad which creates these creatures crawling around below the surface. I believe the cortex map has the same presets as yours. My hunch is that they were placed there on accident when blizzard made that backrgound... |

it's a bug (as in glitch)
they are used in some of the infested pipe/tunnel doodads for the floating platform tileset. for some reason if you add one of these and then delete it or something along those lines it doesn't know what to do with these and they just end up at 0,0 coordinates. im not sure if it's ever possible to remove them once they are there either.Last edit: 2012-07-06 09:47:35 |

Seems you are almost right. Turns out it is the large hole, but good catch anyway. Guess the truth isn't as fun as the theory. |

Then it's both. It depends on the model variation. In my test the big one was always in its closed animation. |
