There's only one SC2 Arena, though. Regardless, there are four stages: Open Qualifiers, Invite-Only Qualifiers, Summer Arena, and Raleigh Pool Play. Listed below is how you qualify for each stage.
Open Qualifier
Anyone can sign up.
Invite-Only Qualifier - 32ish each region
Top 80 at Anaheim -> Invite-only Qualifier for your Region
Top 8 of Open Qualifier of your region -> Invite-only Qualifier for your Region
There are a good number of byes, as the breakdown of top 80 was not equal between the servers.
Summer Arena - 32 Total
Top 9 of EU Invite-Only -> Summer Arena
Top 9 of KR Invite-Only -> Summer Arena
Top 6 of NA Invite-Only -> Summer Arena
Top 8 at Anaheim -> Summer Arena
Raleigh Pool Play - 24 Total
Top 16 at Summer Arena -> Pool Play
8 Winners of Open Bracket Round 5 -> Pool Play

well summer season is still going on. They still have to do the summer arena and championship still. They are just announcing the fall season in advance.

YYEESSSSSS!! MLG Dallas comes again, I have been waiting over a year for this! I got into eSports after the last Dallas event, and I've been watching all the MLG events on stream with great envy, now my time has come! Prepare yourselves MLG!
Anyone know if MLG uses volunteers for these events? I would love to help out! I'll be attending no matter what, but it would be way sick to work for eSports as well! |
