A few weeks ago I 'applied' to have my stream added to teamliquid. I've probably streamed only about 8 hours of random public games with some of my friends, and throughout that time I realized just how boring it would be to watch for someone who didn't know me personally.
So, as I'm not a pro player (I definitely consider myself above 'average', something like masters level in sc2 but definitely not GM) and our community already has an awesome stream that resembles destiny (barny, not exactly the same but I love them both :3):
Does anyone have any ideas for what I could do with my stream? I played with the idea of doing a daily show with a different topic each day, or maybe every other day, but I figured that there are probably more comprehensive guides/commentaries spread around the internet by people more knowledgeable than myself.
If you've ever thought, "I really wish someone streamed like -idea-," and you don't plan on doing it yourself please let me know. I don't plan on streaming my random dota public games anymore as that's extremely boring to watch and there's already plenty of better pubstars than myself streaming on teamliquid or even just on twitch.
Thanks in advance if anyone can give me suggestions, and if you see this with no responses after a while and are a mod, please apply to have my stream deleted from teamliquid's list. (I don't know who is in charge of that or who I should PM)

Chances are, if they thought of it, they're doing it. Even if you were to do something unique, it'd need to appeal to a variety of users and be streaming at a great time slot that attracts a lot of people, more worthwhile to watch than play and you're not being overshadowed by big names and great players.
You should just stream to stream whatever you want and attract your own viewership rather than seeking a great, unique idea that you rigidly follow to get a following. Most top streamers weren't necessarily aiming for something that sets them apart, but rather just acted themselves and offered their usual self which ended up being enjoyable to watch. |

| Stream high level IH or do analysis of pro replays if you think you can do high level things like that. There is really no Day 9 of DOTA atm. The closest I've seen is Synderen when he was streaming practice matches. |

I agree that if someone had some amazing unique idea that would get them tons of viewers, they would do it. That's not really what I expect, I don't believe I will make a thread on TL and suddenly be blessed with a magical stream idea that will get me hundreds of viewers make me make $$$$ by sitting in my basement. Anybody who wants that is stupid. I just meant, right now my content is AVERAGE and BORING! I wouldn't honestly expect anyone to consistently watch someone play pubs unless they have a strong personality like barny or destiny, which is something I don't think I really have. Just streaming pubs and "being myself" will never aggregate me a viewership of over 50 people (absolute maximum IMO), at least I don't think so anyway. *spoilered cause its kinda rambly*

I love doing divine courage, but I lose wayyyy too many games too quickly for that to be viable. Doing troll things also becomes difficult to do after a week or two, trust me I tried to play HoN like that for a while and it just ended up being frustrating. And only trolling some of the time is basically what every random streamer does anyway.

I don't have access to groups of high level friends, most of the people I know are not very good/interested in pro dota. I am currently tryharding the shit out of a second account (its at like 10L:30W or something) maybe eventually I will be able to play with some higher level people and add them.
