Shortly after the release of StarCraft in 1998 there was a Foreigner in the early days of BroodWar who was beating Koreans left and right he was French-Canadian from Quebec. Guillaume (Grrrr...) Patry.
Grrrr... is an unknown name to a lot of us starcraft fans, but he should not be disregarded. Guillaume is the only Foreigner to win an OSL but not just an OSL THE 1ST OSL. He was at one point the biggest name in BroodWar topping BoxeR for a short time. Guillaume holds the name best foreigner for StarCraft BroodWar past Artosis Idra Day[9] Liquid`Tyler and more. Grrrr...
Since the last OSL is coming up and Grrr... having a huge impact in OSL history let us remember the past as BroodWar lives

I knew a 21 years old man back when I was still in Montreal who had a poster of AMD Hexatron with signatures on his wall and he even offered it to me saying that he have like 2 extras when I questioned about it. I thought they were in some metrosexual boyband

Grrrr... he owned Starcraft back when the soundtrack to every tournament was taken from Sonic Adventure... anyone else remember when WCG was using the Sonic Adventure soundtrack just a few years ago?
I remembered that there was also another Danish or Norwegian zerg who beat Boxer and got respectful offers to go pro in Korea but declined

Makes one wonder what would happen if Elky, Rekrul, Leg, and Grr. never retired and kept playing the game professionally. I bet that more and more foreigners would join and SK would maybe less dominant.
