Another interesting thing to note is that GSL points degrade 10% each season.
IE GSL 3 champ = 5000 points, GSL 2 champ = 4500, GSL 1 champ = 4050. Seems pretty reasonable.
Obviously with 8 players left, there are a lot of scenarios.
DRG is in. MC/Taeja winner is in. Naniwa win vs DRG and he is in. Nestea/Seed gets in if they win. Byun and Symbol probably need Ro4 to be safe. SuperNoVa is out. Taeja likely out if he losses, if Taeja wins, Gumiho likely out.

| I hope that there is an open qualifier for everyone. One of the great things about the WCS so far is seeing all the new faces on the scene, and while current pros must and should be rewarded for their solid and consistent performances, let's see some new blood on the scene. |

Oh, there will be qualifier for sure or they couldn't justify the 6 KesPa seeds.

| oh wow only top 10 finishers go to the WCS asia? hmm that sucks, china gets 10 and taiwan gets 9. i'd've expected like top 16 from kr or something at least |

lol, you are right. Totally forgot about that.
Another interesting thing to note, since KesPA players don't have seperate qualifiers (unlike OSL). The qualifiers will be the first time GSL players will meet KesPA in a competitive setting (I don't really count the Showmatch yesterday). Will be interesting.
I wonder if KesPa will seed their 'star' players? Or their best sc2 players.

Don't think it matters because 10 is enough to grab all the qualifying spots. It was never meant to be 'fair' distribution or else you would need 75% koreans in the world wcs as well. |
