Hello fellas,
today I installed BW on my Win7 x64 system and played a bit. Now I just retured and wanted to start SC2.
In menus everything appears pretty slow. I checked a replay and everything was in slomo. Faster 4x is about the normal gamespeed.
Just deinstalled BW - no changes. Thought of an "slowing-down-tool" inside BW for Win7, but I didnt found something.
Gcard is up to date and normally runnin' about 150-200fps

May be an obvious question, but just making sure:
Are you playing against a A.I. at slow speed? |

Thats a good question but no, tested it few mins ago in a custom game w/o ai. Its the right speed but the delay on commands (scv move, scv production, rally poiints) is huge (about 1-2sec).
1200fps in custom game:

Thats not normal... |

This is probably it. BW has nothing to do with it, neither does having 1k fps. |

BW is clearly fighting for its survival!
I'm not sure how the installation of bw could've changed things, but I'm pretty sure R1CH (or someone else maybe) made a post one time about how to set a maximum FPS limit in I believe your sc2 variables.txt file to avoid overtaxing your GPU unnecessarily and to avoid slow-downs like this.
Sorry I can't find it... But perhaps try searching R1CH's posts or something. |

That would be great but even the menu is like in slomo. |

After I removed Gcard drivers and reinstalled them, I saw the welcome animation is in slomo too. Every animation is slowed down. |

I think thats the last exit, ye. Since everything is in slomo, It seems format c: is the only way.
Thanks for help though! |

Its probably a bug. I doubt he is getting 1k FPS. Or even 150 fps normally outside of staring at his command center in the beginning of the match which doesnt really mean anything.
Repair or reinstall I would say.
You might be onto something though. Maybe check temps while this is happening.Last edit: 2012-07-13 06:08:57 |

I have no clue, try what everyone else has suggested and just reinstall / repair..
It may also be a bug with the new patch..Last edit: 2012-07-13 07:14:20 |

1000FPS is completely possible if you Graphiccard can hadle this and his game is unusual slow. Slow = more time to calculate things = more fps.
Proof:

But I don't know what could help. Maybe watching a replay with different speeds, change ingame speed, open new game with slow, what ever.

I like how these framerates are completely even. 1000 even, 1200 even, 1500 even.
I wonder what it means. I only trust fraps. Asking an executable to verify its own FPS is iffy.Last edit: 2012-07-13 11:48:55 |
