| Did anyone see the watch that jesse gave walt as a ticking timebomb on their relationship? Interesting. |

| most useless and annoying character is Jr, period. He contributes nothing to the story. Him being naive and the supposed moral compass of the family or whatever is just bleh. The whole discussing the cars scene at the table looked like the writers were just trying to finally give him some air time. |

He was an important part of the back story to season 1, without him or the baby walt would have never started cooking meth. |

I. Fucking. Hate. Skyler..
Holy shit. She is so god damn annoying. I really hope she just dies. I don't understand her character at all. I don't understand how she changed. The justification is terrible... |

One of the things I've been thinking about for a while is how much Skyler and Walt's relationship has been completely inverted. In season one Skyler was this absolutely controlling bitch of a wife who did nothing but make Walt's life hell. She controlled all of their money, told him what to do at all times, and never let him make decisions or even voice an opinion.
Now it's the other way around. Walt's become a scary person, and he has complete control of her. She's fighting it as much as possible, but now she's the one being told what to do and not getting a say.
She's basically getting a taste of her own medicine. |

| I know it isn't an important plot point and is no longer relevant, but what even happened to Walt's car? I mean, why was he at the shop in the first place? He had a $1900 bill, so I don't think it was just a check up. Was it something that wasn't shown on screen? It's just really bugging me |

| Was really sad they didn't kill off skyler last night. I was cheering when I saw her slowly go deeper into the water in an attempt to drown herself but nooo. |

He ran over a couple of dudes.
edit: now that I think about it... maybe that was season 3? perhaps still the reason, I don't know.
edit again: I think maybe it was when he purposefully got into an accident because of Hank wanting him to go to the laundry.Last edit: 2012-08-07 11:17:52 |

It's a bit more understandable when you realize she sees her longtime beloved husband slowly turn into a monster before her eyes, and her not able to do anything but watch and hide. But ya, she's fucking annoying.Last edit: 2012-08-07 11:27:27 |

There are shows where the script is just plain horrible. Where some characters and/or story archs seem completely pointless for furthering the plot.
But imo, in breaking bad, the "annoying" characters so many of you want killed off actually serve a purpose. It's good script writing. All characters shouldn't necessarily be likeable in a show.
The slightly neurotic Marie sure is stupid and annoying. But in a good way. She elevates Hank as a character. Their interactions always seem genuine on the show. I loved the scene at the dinner table this episode where Marie offered to take care of Walt's/Skylar's children for a while. When Hank is asked: "It'd be fun, right?", you can see him squirming while still immediately responding "yeah, yeah... absolutely, great idea", because of his affection for her. Great writing and acting.
And Skylar. I could perhaps have seen your point previous seasons where the whole Ted Beneke story arch seemed to be used to build her as a character. Both her and Marie were farther removed from the main plot and had their own story archs going on at times. But by now they're all interconnected, and every interaction serves to further the plot and nuance the main characters.
Don't think anyone needs to be killed off. The story seems to be focused on Walt's descent into psycopathy more than anything else right now. It'd be hard depicting that without the family. If the business side of things were to be exclusively highlighted on the show, you would do better just watching your generic action flick.
Sopranos was sort of the same, with a lot of people hating on the family scenes. But they served a purpose, as they do in Breaking Bad.
*Although I agree the characters have been inconsistent in their behavior throughout the seasons, I have sort of come to accept it since season 2. I think season 1 was the best. After that Walt started acting inconsistent and they would frequently add filler episodes with irrelevant story archs on the side. This season has IMO been the second best overall, if you've already learned to ignore all the inconsistencies as I've done.Last edit: 2012-08-07 12:18:49 |

How is it possible that the entire world of Breaking Bad has taken place in only 1 years time?
Hanks recovery alone is crazy in that timeframe.... Seems like a crazy busy year. |

Also Jesse's face looks like nothing ever happened to it. |

| The first 3 episodes were really good. I'm not sure if I just don't appreciate this kind of plotline, but I really hated the last episode. I wish they would just go back to the drugs. I also don't get why Breaking Bad, or any other show puts in characters for you to hate. I have never ever seen a show where this actually helped. |

just pay attention and freak out when in the end it all makes sense.
i am happy to say, i called many things to happen just because of little things that at first seem to be nonsense. and i love the show because of this. so very detailed.
and im so uber pumped what walt will do next episodes since he looked at his heisenberg hat like a psycho this has to be sick like in the beginning where he and jesse started.

She's wishing cancer on the dude that just threatened her and still acts like he's doing what's best for his family after he almost got them killed two weeks or so ago.
Yeah I'm not her biggest fan but I can understand her wanting Walt to die. |

Wanted to get rid of the car and get something nice for himself.
And yea they did touch briefly on the fact about him running over "a deer" with the "goop" stuck in the car that they had to clean out. |
