First part: (NSFW, the rest can be found on the channel) So apparently this guy "sabineprograms" got contacted in Korea by a man and a woman who said they were North Korean defectors to the south, and wanted to give him a film made in North Korea about western propaganda. They wanted the whole world to see what North Koreans think about westerners. As sabineprograms has said and I myself believe though, most likely they were actually North Korean agents and their objective and this film's objective is to somehow affect the western population. Sabineprograms has been interviewed by the police, and he didn't post videos past part 4 before he talked with his lawyer. You can read the whole thing on the first part's description.
It's a very interesting watch and skillfully done, but you have to take the things with a grain of salt though. It includes much hilariousness such as mocking Kim Kardashian.
The Full film is now available "Propaganda" (2012)

a lot of it is true but this kinda shit seems to be made to try and convince north koreans why it's okay that theyre suffering and living like shit 24/7. i'd really like to see if they wanted to go back to north korea after spending 6 months abroad.
This can't be for N Koreans. They won't recognize most the stuff in this video.
Our society is very crazy in it's own way and it would be nice if people would realize that for once. Our society is much much less free than we think in different ways than we think. The amounts of ads, manipulations and social pressures are quite significant.
Also, if it were possible and needed to turn our western world into a N Korea, people in power would do it.
In the western world, we have the freedom to choose whether to be slaves to possessions and television, or to educate ourselves and liberate from the blissful existence of ignorance.
It is the civil duty of every voter to research their representatives and vote, and contact the leaders and petition en masse for change. Democracy is something you need to FIGHT for, and you have the RIGHT to fight for it.
Simply put, those morons on Oprah or people who line up to buy the iPad 23 have the right to remain in their little box of stupidity, but those of us who want to actually learn have access to the information, we have rights which protect our ideas and inventions and possessions.
This documentary is trying to convince North Koreans that being ignorant little twats is a western tradition; instead they should watch a documentary on the freedom of information we have here, and the right to protest and opinions.

I think this is a very hastily made up comment. As I and other people have said, North Korean's are probably not going to see this vid. Also, yes in the west people have the right to be stupid, it doesn't take away from the other points this film makes, such as the U.S interventionist policies in the 21th century.
Only watched 5 min, seems silly to me.. Of course we are fed propaganda by our politicians and of course we are all cattle, that's what we have always been LOL! Also the video speaks as if we are the only ones being brainwashed, clearly NK does it as well, they just aren't as good at it as us Westerners.

I'd be really careful when describing anything North Korea produces in positive terms and not tagging it with - "yet they are one of the worst dictatorships in the world".

Its funny that you actually think that you have a meaningful say in the affairs of your country because its a "democracy". Democracy by the people, for the corporations. In theory your idea is great and all but the fact of the matter is that most people want to stay ignorant because they are too lazy. The majority of people rather listen and believe gossip or slander campaigns paid by corporations which is what generally wins or loses elections in "democracies".

These definitely look like propaganda videos for a western audience. The way the videos are written, the things in them, the reasons for using this video for western audiences versus native ones, it just sort of makes more sense for it to be a video for us. It is interesting looking at that video though. Taking it down to its base components to see what it does and how and why it works. Very interesting video. Very retarded video, of course, but very interesting nontheless.

well what's the difference between people who watch oprah, and say for example, a person who watches MLG or GSL? both of you divulge in entertainment that interest you by a commentator or figure head.

Rather uninteresting movie. Obviously made for people who already have made up their minds, who will use this movie as "evidence" to validate their claims. I'd say that any video regarding the western society that comes out of North Korea, one of the worst dictatorships in the world with a brainwashed population should be viewed with extreme care. What is the goal of this video? Why would they make a video about the western society in N Korea, in what way do they benefit from making this video? Surely they aren't just doing it to be nice guys and try and help the western society, no?
So the reasonable conclusion I can draw is that the movie is made to somehow strengthen the government in North Korea by trying to re-direct people from their own problems (dictatorship etc) by pointing at the western society instead.
Are there any reliable sources about this out there? To me it looks too.. western, honestly. The English voice over is done pretty damn professionally for a spontaneous translation, and what I hear really doesn't sound like it would come out of a North Korean documentary. This whole thing seems pretty damn fishy to me, to be honest.
