A few details on my stream and my streaming habits:
1. No ladder; I have given up using ladder as practice. The ladder is full of hate and brings out the worst in people "for points" (including myself sometimes though i don't care about points); i'm sick of it. Moreover there are still many people abusing ramps, bad maps and positions which have been removed from tournament play; thus at least 15% of games are a waste of time. Also, an overwhelming majority of ladder players take wild and unreasonable risks or simply have very poor timings; all of the above make another 40% of games a waste of time and don't actually help you improve.
For me personally it doesn't work and its a waste of time. The players i practice against are progamers or other good players regardless of rank who share knowledge and help eachother learn the game. The only use ladder has is helping you get into a "prepared for anything" mindset or praticing holding off cheese or retarded builds. Yet sometimes the builds are so retarded its still a waste of time.
2. No commentary as i play; my brain is not suited to speak and play at the same time. I will however comment games and replays inbetween matches and discuss gameplay with my practice partners and with the chat.
3. No balance discussions; the game is balanced.
There are imbalanced timings and zerg is imbalanced in lategame if allowed too much gas; just like in BroodWar to be a good player is to deal with it
