Favorite to win TSL4?

Nerchio is very hard to look past after his amazing run at Home Story Cup 5. Also MC has an amazing tournament record both in and out of Korea.. My money is on either of them, but hoping for Nerchio because it's always great when foreigners win big tournaments

I hope Taeja can take it down. (mostly because he looks like the best fielded T and as a player of T I root for them.)

But if I were to pick a favorite based on what ive seen in the past. I think Squirtle or Nerchio could find themselves in the finals.

Since none of the powerhouses like mvp/mkp/drg qualified it's pretty hard to pick one favorite to win it all. The qualified GSL players are all relatively in the same category: the kind of players that you expect to make a good Code S run, but that you would not pick as favorites at the start of the season.

Out of the non GSL players only Mana, Nerchio and mayyyybe Beastyqt/Thorzain are the only one that I could see giving trouble to the GSL players (except random out of nowhere stuff like elfi's PvP

).

In the end since I guess i have to pick someone I'm gonna pick Taeja, probably a bit by Liquid fanboyism (and it's a liquid event after all) but also because most of the TSL is played online and he has proven that he's a real beast there through ESV events - even if picking a Terran these days seems a bit suicidal x)

I also think that people picking Creator/Squirtle should not forget Naniwa, he is right up there with the other Code S protosses and seeing how TSL3 went, I'm pretty sure TSL4 means a lot to him and that he will prepare intensively for his matches.

Also, will there is another bracket competition like there was last time? I remember that being really fun to do on Liquipedia (also it's always funny to see the closest predictions that somehow put 1. ThorZaIN, 2. NaNiwa, 3. Kas, 4. HasuObs in correct order).

I don't understand how Creator gets more attention from people than NaNiwa. A guy who has never made it beyond the GSL Code S Ro32 is getting a ton of hype while NaNiwa--a guy who has had repeat Ro8 appearances (only to lose to the GSL Champion and the favorite to win this season of GSL), a guy who only was barely beaten in TSL3, and a 3-2 record against Creator when they met in GSL Code S--is not getting any mention. I cannot stand it when foreigners get overhyped, but when you are talking about NaNiwa, I think it is fair to say that he is actually a better player then a lot of the players getting mentioned, even though he is not Korean. Squirtle still seems like he would be more of a favorite than NaNi, but give the guy a break. Just because he's white does not that Creator is favored against him or something.
