Exactly, even if he wants to leave or wants WAY more money... it doesn't warrant this kind of punitive treatment.
He's a free man..... he was paid to do a job and he did it great.
Until I hear more, all signs point to simply vindictive behavior by Slayers. Unless MMA assaulted someone, there's no reason for this.... he's easily still one of the better players Slayers has. |

| These kind of demotions were common in BW. The only thing controversial here was MMA's supposed reaction to this move. A player of his calibre would've made the A-team again in a little while. Last edit: 2012-07-17 12:43:08 |

| Slayers is doing the smart thing by not announcing anything - if both parties retaliate over the social media, it could lead to a situation where the relationship cannot be recovered. |

I am confused. MMA doesn't seem like the kind of guy who would do anything stupid to get into trouble. The only offense he's done anyone is not allowing us to bask in the beauty of his TvZ and TvT.
If I'm reading the article correctly, MMA is angry because was demoted to B-team and kicked out of the house FOR an unspecified reason. Since it doesn't affect his GSL participation, it wasn't gaming related. Since he got kicked out of the house, I'm guessing it was some in-house dispute. Getting demoted seems like a logical punishment for the alleged misbehavior.
Since there are two Slayers members who woke up and basically tweeted WTF HAPPENED, I'm guessing it was a pretty isolated incident and not many people on the team are involved.
Past these, I can't do much more than make stuff up.Last edit: 2012-07-17 12:50:20 |

I wouldn't be so sure, depending on what he did to get punished, and what his demands of a foreign team would be. EDIT: A guess, take this with a grain of salt: + Show Spoiler +If MKP's tweet relates, then perhaps MMA got into a significant salary dispute? It would perhaps explain why he wants to go to a foreign team too. We all know that korean progamers are under the impression the trees in America grow money.
If it was a salary dispute, how the fk would MKP know about it? Plus, the article already stated that it was due to misbehavior, not some disagreement with the contract. MKP was most likely referring to MMA's desire to go to a foreign team, if he was referring to this situation at all
Progamers often talk to each other so MKP could know about it. And there was nothing about "misbehavior" in OP. ...while the reason for this disciplinary action remained unrevealed, cited as a internal issue of the team.
My friend who is fluent in korean told me there was a mention about some misbehavior. Also, mma's contract isn't over so why the hell would they be arguing over salary in the first place
im fluent in korean and the translation in OP is pretty much a near perfect translation of the article. so no there wasnt any mention of that
Regardless, the latter point still remains valid |

All signs do not point to "vindictive behavior from SlayerS".
All signs point nowhere really. I know you want to support MMA no matter what, but that doesn't mean you need to preemptively blame SlayerS. Chill out |

I think MMA realizes his market value . . . he doesn't have to take shit from anyone, unless he does something very bad (i.e. cheating / breaking the law).
In the end, all the fans will side with MMA and Slayers will look absolutely fucking horrible. I don't blame him for telling them to screw off if it's not something HUGELY bad that he did. |

He's still in Code A, which still means he's one of the best players in the world. This is a punishment for something he did and likely not a "performance" thing.Last edit: 2012-07-17 12:47:41 |

I can also read Korean, and I'm telling you that there is no mention of misbehavior.
Also, having a contract has nothing to do with possibility of salary dispute. In fact, if there were no contract there would be nothing to dispute. Although I doubt that would be the reason for the punishment even if that had happened.

| It's so sad to watch SlayerS slowly fall apart. GanZi and Taeja both left for foreigner teams, you never see BoxeR play any more, MMA has dropped out of Code S, and now this. It's just sad to think of what SlayerS used to be and what they are now. They are obviously still a great team, but they used to be the Terran powerhouse that could beat any other team in the teamleagues. Oh well, poor SlayerS, but I would be really curious to hear what MMA did to warrant being put on the B Team. |
