Latin America has no players who made it past the ISL3 group stage. The United States had 2 of the top 5 from ISL3 and were the runner ups for Altitude Nation Wars. Canada didn't have a showing at all in Nation Wars and often complained they didn't have enough players to make up a team of 6.
This is the reasons why Canada is merged with Latin America, Latin America's best player didn't even make it out of ISL groups and Canada's players are some of the worse in terms of commitment to an event. Neither of these areas have a higher overall skill than the United States.
Simply put, by logical association, if a nation can't put a team of 6 together, they definitely don't have enough for an entire tournament dedicated to them.Last edit: 2012-07-20 02:10:28 |

The possibility will be available for merging of countries which require it.

No, unfortunately, the tournament isn't designed to accommodate Koreans in the mix at this time. |

Hockey cards? LOL what the heck... I'm sorry but other posters are right, this sounds like you are selling drugs to get the money... Hockey cards like baseball cards except for Hockey? I'm so confused at the moment, I guess I have been working the wrong job my whole life... I should have been selling hockey cards all along... silly me...

Writing an OP nice and clear is not an easy task. But in this situation and with an Event like this i think its of Primary importance. Information is Power. There are a number of things that Journalists and writers consider while writing and in big events there are specialists who write everything up. Here on TL there are quite a few people that can write an extremly clear and optimal OP. Everyone has different skills and to execute this tournament you will need a team with people who have different skills and work well together. That is essential in any project.
I feel like Nina and other people bring up some good points. And i think the main concern here is that some people (me included) are in doubt if the money is really there and available or not. I for one don' t want to but-in your business, but you must understand that we are not talking about 1 dollar for a coffea, we are talking about amounts that are much much bigger.
As For the Non-profit, again my opinion if you don' t registrer your organization officially and put forth some proof i cannot take it seriously. Unfortunatly Not everyone knows you personally, and in order for people to trust you, you must put some legitimacy in it. If you do, i assure you i will never doubt your words again. And so will a good number of other people.
I hope you guys take my post as a constructive thing. Thats what i wanted it to be.
I think you guys are awesome for organizing this, and i offer my help if needed in any way i can assist you.
The point about the non-profit is moot because it goes through my books before entering the non-profit anyway because technically, I'm donating the money for this, therefore, there is no sense in me cutting how much the event receives or taking a "cut" because I'm the only donation... How can I take a cut out of my own donation? It doesn't make sense.
As for additional volunteers for writing, I know the information is not all straight forward and point form, it was never intended to be. This is simply an announcement thread, I expected sign ups to gauge a little more before working out all the specifics, it is a while from now after all. And as for finding volunteers to do it, I've tried. The simplest tasks would be delegated and I'd get a response a week later saying "don't feel like doing it any more". You have the wrong idea, this takes countless hours, without a volunteer squad, by the time you'd be done paying salaries you'd have next to nothing left. People donated their time to this. |

o_o, I don't quite understand what you mean, generally people here have 3-4 forms of identification if not more. Student pass isn't very reliable, but may be accepted in some cases. Drivers license/passport pictures are obviously the best for legitimacy. |
