PC power problems. Need help. So confused.

So my gaming computer specs are
Cpu: Pentium dual core
RAM: 2gb
mobo:GIGABYTE GA-73PVM-S2H
GPU: nVidia GeForce 8800GS

I get very low Fps in battles involving max armies or if My ram usage is too high(such as having multiple programs running) so I decided to switch my CPU and GPU to my old gaming computer because it has 4RAM slots as opposed to my current gaming computers 2. So i did the switch and nothing! my old computer wouldn'tdisplay anything it would just be on but my monitors never turned on. So I gave up... Now my old gaming computer has a nVidia geforce 550Ti card which is a bit better than my 8800GS so I decided to switch it to my current pc. I also switched the PSU from my old computer to my current one (550ti needs a bit more wattage) so as I put eerything back on my current computer I turned it on viola!! worked! Was so excited. my drivers were up to date and i was ready to check if it would give me a fps boost and My computer turns of all of the sudden. Now I know that my PSU would work eith my 550ti since my old computer ran it. But nothing kept turning off.. so I decided to give up once again. so I pretty much put my current PC back together eith the original parts and it was working fine for 10 minutes untill once again.... it turned off... I turned it back on and nope turned off during boot. I don't understand why it does this. I put everything back how it was.. did I just fuck my pc up? or what do you suggest I do?

Does the computer simply turn of or do you get a blue screen before that? Might be a cooling problem with the CPU, Can your computer last longer if you have no programs turned on? I suggest you try to install Speedfan to check your core temperature and fans.

Also computer parts are very sensitive so they can easialy get ruined when you move them around, static electrisity can damage your gear when you grab it. I just ruined my processor when i changed the fan and my computer would make a few beeps turn of during boot. If your gear is damaged i you have to buy new gear. But i suggest you try to figure out what the problem is first.

No I don't get a blue screen my PSU just turns off. I don't think its a heating issue either.
Thanks for your opinion. Still tryin to solve this issue.
