Well, cause I've been a Superman fan since I was a kid I have been tentatively excited by the choice to reboot after the last film, and now that we have a few more items (though not much) I figured TL could start discussing their opinions about their hopes, how they see the film right now (even in as a early stage as this), or where they see it going, etc... Will the magic of Nolan wear off to revitalize Superman now?
Also, apparently Lord of the Rings makes an appearance into the first trailer... you could have chosen a less obvious fucking choice WB... well played (immed. exiting Moria in FOTR if you're wondering (actually this part concerns me a bit...)), or not.Last edit: 2013-05-22 22:49:21 |

| The cast is hit and miss, it's really going to depend on chemistry, over-arching of the story without deviating too far from the key moments that people remember as well as the directing. I'm confident about the director, but fearful he explores too far. |

Crowe and Costner... interesting. Now if only we had Nolan himself directing the film because Snyder is worthless.

:DDD Torte, that's a very cogent first response. I've been moderately impressed with Henry Cavill in what I've seen of him, though I don't really know anything about Amy Adams or Michael Shannon (is he good in Boardwalk Empire?). |

| All superman movies are fairly horrible , kinda sad since hes the most Iconic of superheros, but this short thriller kinda got me hoping that they finaly make a great one. |

not a huge fan of superman but ill watch it, partially because I think Nolan did excellent work with the Batman Franchise.
Smallville cast wasn't that bad imo, they had some good actors(I found Lex, Chloe, Jonathan Kent and Lionel Luthor to be nice), Tom Welling was a meh superman though.

| What's with these remakes of remakes of movies based on comic books? Originality means nothing I guess... just buy up brand names and sell it because of nostalgia. Someone needs to make a god damn decent video game movie, it would be a historical event. |

Chronicle was an original super hero movie. The movie needs several sequels and a more interesting world to make it any where near as successful as the worst Spiderman movie. |

Hell yeah! Superman has a lot of potential for a good movie, especially with Christopher Nolan. Gonna be excited!
