DC LAN #8 happened a couple weeks ago and was a great success. Anfield(teamless) beat LgNAvilo in the finals 3-1 to win his first ever DC LAN. I expect him back to try and defend his title among a whole host of the usual challengers and hopefully some new ones! The LAN center worked out amazing in general (dispite a few issues with smoke and space) we're pretty much a go right now for monthly lans.
What
Starcraft 2 LAN tournament! Open to all players of any league, $20 entrance fee covers LAN center costs as well as tournament entry. Even if you don't plan on coming to compete feel free to come out and meet other SC2 players in the area!

Depends on number of signups. Should be around $400-500 in total split between top 4 finishers. (When I quit playing some day I'll start working harder at getting sponsors for these events, until then deal with basically a pure buy in prize pool with a few donations)
Format/Rules
I'm thinking about doing a straight up double elimination bracket this time. Seeded by TLPD players and previous DC LAN results. Any thoughts? I'm open to whatever format people would prefer, prehaps a poll? Voting will close 1 week before the LAN.

no it means just a straight up bracket where you have to lose to two different people to get eliminated, open bracket MLG style. bo3's all the way till semifinals/finals. |

i was just thinking about the amount of time it would take, but since the games are played in parallel then it wouldnt add any extra time, just an extra layer of organization
