I'm saying that's how it works in every big sport I've watched or taken part of. The winner of the biggest tournament is considered the best and the champions until the next time it's concluded. Even when it's with 1 year intervals.
I don't understand why starcraft skill should be assessed subjectively. I agree to disagree though.

Ask alot of american football fans if they consider the NY Giants (this past SuperBowl winner) the best team in football and they'll tell you no they arent. They are the champs yes but not the best. It can be 2 different things

Why are so many people expecting nani to join a korean team? That makes the absolute least amount of sense. Even Liquid would be more likely (and that would be veeeeery unlikely). Why would nani cancel his contract and join a team that pays him no salary whatsoever. And out of all the korean teams that you guys named, most picked StarTale? The team that he lives with already? Why would he want to do that? There is 0 benefit.

Your "biggest tournament" is a subjective category as well, so I would argue that your point is invalid

Which tournament is bigger (more prestige and cash prize) than GSL?
I thought it was unanimous that GSL was the biggest tournament to win in SC2. Would you like to share with me what other tournament that's overshadowing GSL?

A forum is a place for discussion; an argument is a form of discussion.

A forum is a place for discussion in the correct thread.

Arguing about his skill which is completely opinion is not the topic of this thread.

An argument is also not a proper form of discussion.

Recent slump? He's not doing differently than he has in quite a while. Bombing out of foreign tournaments but doing pretty well in the GSL is not being in a slump, that's just the kind of player Naniwa is now.

It's more like: Beat code S protoss/terran but lose to european mid-tier zergs

Naniwa is one of the best European players. He can take games/sets off of Koreans maybe not consistently but he can definitely challenge them.

And I don't even like the guy but that has nothing to do with his skill.

So people stop your arguing.

The thing is:

you cant just buy good players. you need to advertise them. you cant do that with naniwa. you will always have problems with him and your sponsors wont be amused about his behaviour.

maye that wasnt what you were talking about.

its not:
eg, liquid, any korean team, mym, mtw, empire, dignitas, type, aTn, ESC, quantic, fnatic, etc.
what team he could join:
root (doesnt have the money but they are "bad mannered" like him.
i was going to say complexity but he left that team as well. i dont see any team wanting him right now.
maybe he makes a team with major... but i dont think major likes him either

Hmmm, interesting.. I thought Quantic was the team that fit him the best. It must surely be a swap to a korean team, otherwise, what is the point?

An argument is absolutely a proper form of discussion. A debate is an argument, people trying to prove their point, discussing, in detail, their points in order to try to sway others.

When you're basing your arguments off of just hating someones personality.. That is not discussion.. That's just dumb.

He can't reply to you otherwise he would not be engaging in a "proper form of discussion."

I hope NaNi finds something nice for him .

I think EG is the only team out there that has both the $$$ that Naniwa is looking for (and that Naniwa probably thinks he is entitled to at this point) and the willingness to work with an attitude such as Nani's.

Give it 24 hours - EGNaniwa. Easy call.

Would you be so kind to share the link to said interview?
