Yeah, I was (re)watching Aliens a while ago, and I started laughing out loud when I heard that quote
anyway, here's a page with all unit quotes, linked to their source (if they didnt come up with it themselves). It's one of the most beautiful things in the game imho, if you know where the quotes are coming from of course
When I was watching I am legend I was pretty sure I heard shuttle sound at one point, something like that. Also few years ago at our local TV there was commercial spot that was using tank sounds ^^

Blizzard is a heavy user of commercial audio cds, as are many movie developers, and other such companies. I have many of these such cds, and once you realize just how heavily many companies bank on them for their assets, you start to wonder if they hire any actual audio engineers at all (they usually don't and rely on interns).

A lot of sounds in general are stock. You'll hear similar sounds in a good number of movies/tv/video games simply because they're public domain. When a company is lazy they'll just copy and paste it, when they're not they'll edit it.
I wouldn't be surprised if this was intentional, plant that seed in your head where you're thinking "where have I heard that before" and then say thinking of starcraft whenever you watch Commando for instance.
"Then he told me to tell you that he wouldn't piss on you if you were on fire" — "Well, you tell him that I said that I wouldn't piss on him if he was on Jeopardy!"
