I hope 4 map makers to look this way. and maby blizzard to see some feedback from this. the curent 2v2 maps look nothing like the other. they should look something alike.
A 2v2 map need the following to be a balanced map.
-main to main distance 55-70. (Fields of Strife 54, Molten creator 63, Mokura 71) -In base natural. -second expansion (fourt base) outside harder to take, but kind of close to ramp. -2 standard 1v1 ramps or 1 ramp large enufe to wall of whit 2 supplies and 2 rax. -a total of 12 to 16 expansions not including the main bases. (Fields of strife 10, Molten creator 12, Mokura 16)
A 2v2 can´t have this to be banalced map.
-phonton cannaons that have reach from low ground to main miniral line. (lunar) -A mian that is hard to cover all courners so that drops get in too esey. -separat main base. Need a shared main. -gold expansions. I think 1v1 map makers dont like gold expansions. -only 1 lane of attack. Fields of strife have 3 lanes where U can send attack. Desolate stronghold only have 1 lane to send attacks.
This is my opinion. I hope 4 a discusion and som ideas. But I really think this is what is needed 4 the compedativ 2v2 play.

It'd be great if this discussion took off, IMO 2v2 is bad and cheesy because the maps are bad, it's like everyone's still playing on Blistering Sands. I'd love to see high level 2v2 on well made maps, until we see that I don't think 2v2 should be written off as a non-competitive mode.

2v2 maps have been getting better, but with all the old maps still floating around in the pool, there are still many maps that don't go past 2 bases. I don't mind that the possibility to end a game quickly is there, but I do mind having to play against two aggressive fuckers when my partner decides to play even slightly greedy and has fuck-all to help defend with, lol.
