With the release of 1.5, maps have been moved into two categories, "StarCraft" and "Arcade". As you may have noticed Arcade is a major improvement on the old system as far as presenting a map and the info about it. There is room for multiple screenshots, the "How to play section" (can be used to note spawn location), patch notes, reviews, and a direct image right on the front screen.
For whatever reason this was not implemented at all in the "StarCraft"custom games section and leave it with the same 2-3 sentence screenshot area and an overview. Frankly as a player I would much rather be able to see screenshots of a map, a much longer description, spawn info, and all the other stuff and I think most of you would appreciate it as well.
So we will be moving all ESV Maps to the Arcade section. You will NOT be able to find them in the "StarCraft" section.
Sorry about the inconvenience but once people know and are used to this, it will be better for everyone.

Have to buy another round of accounts for the servers ($$). Also fragments our own maps which we aren't fans of (basically you far less visibility of any map as they have two versions that gain popularity/ratings) and try to avoid. |

| I just want to note that ALL of the custom game systems are very glitched as of now. I believe in map you play other than those published by Blizzard have very outdated patches (roaches are 1 supply, etc.). Also it may take 5 or 6 searches of "ESV" to find the map you want to play because the search feature is very bugged, even if it says its showing all of the results. |

| Checked the arcade section and they are indeed there, but sadly, no screenshot and thus no image of the map, making it difficult to find the map you need if you dont remember every name |

When playing Arcade games I've noticed the games autostart when there are 2 players into the game (if it is set to a 2 player map), meaning that you cannot have observers. I can't test to confirm this right now, but you check to see if this is the case because if it is then we won't be able to see ESV maps being observed for tournaments etc.
Edit: I just tried and its only if you click "Play" and not "Create Private Game". Sorry for the silly suggestion and keep up the awesome map making!Last edit: 2012-08-02 15:31:37 |

I think u can just do "Create Private Game" and u have normal custom game lobby like before.

Can you pressure other map uploaders to move their maps to arcade as well?
If it becomes standard to go to arcade when you want to open a custom melee game no one will get confused. |
