I broke my mousepad

Yo all,

I have a steelseries QCK (sc2 edition) mousepad that ive had for about 6 months. Currently though, my mouse isn't tracking well on it... It jumps around a bit and is inconsistent about the speed.

Ive washed it 2x both with shampoo (which I read was the proper way), about 2 months ago the first time and just yesterday when I noticed this becoming really severe, I've checked the mouse on my backup mousepad, which is just some stock 8$ tiny black thing.

So my question(s) is/are, Is that too infrequent of washing? I only ever bothered when there was any tracking problems.

Is it normal for a mousepad to wear out in 6 months, or is the qck of lower quality than say razer pads?

Is shampoo an ok soap to use, or was I mislead?

have you worn out a pre-existing texture in certain high traffic spots for your mouse feet?

I can't answer your main question, but I can say that it's not normal for them to wear out in 6 months. I've had my razer goli for over a year now and i've had absolutely no problems with it.

I dont know about the Steelseries mousepad quality but IF you need to buy a new mousepad i Really recommend the Qpad mousepad

well,that price was pretty terrible but the same mousepad can be found very cheap, i bought mine for about 21 dollars or less ,

now to your problem, I did some googling and i found simple gentle hand soap on a cloth should help you out !

Ive had my mousepad for well over 2-4 years and it still looks new and its like i bought it yesterday.
