Change the meaning of a word by applying phonetics to the word. I'll give 2 examples.

Some words with "re" in them are very easy to do this to. For example:
Retard - Re tard -> someone who is late (tardy) again
Here's another:
Physics - Phys ics -> people who think physical activity is icky
Edit: I thought of another.
Suburb - Sub urb -> below the city

Interesting game. Lots of potential for fun.
But I have an idea to make it better and more collaborative/participatory.
Why not: poster 1 post a word, say word "A", ideally a long multisyllable one, then the next poster should make "change the word" "A" then post another word for the next poster and so one. the next poster cannot start a new word without answering the one above him. Violators will be perm banned (jk)

I dont think you are. Based on the explanation of the OP, i think you should stick to the original sound-form of the word but can change its individual meaning, while still making sense.
