I was kinda hoping they would do a complete wipe of standings after the first 3 seasons, maybe invite top 5 players again and do Continental qualifiers for NA, Korea, Asia, Europe etc etc.
This will have to do I suppose |

| are they going to charge again like they did last time? Really interesting that their the only company to charge players to play in their qualifiers. I still have a horrible distaste for that business model. |

MLG charges players to play at their events. |

MLG charges for their open qualifiers, IPL charged for the regional qualifiers for IPL5. Seems pretty common when there's money/something big on the line to make sure people are serious about competing. The Satellites for IPL5 didn't have an entry fee and they were really plagued by no-shows. |

Doesn't MLG charge to compete in their major tournies?
Honestly, the fee is marginal, and covers a fraction of their expenses. It also limits the amount of no-shows.

Charging is completely fine if it´s a small sum (5-10 $/€). Serious people or their teams will pay it and other will think twice to sign up just to no-show.
Hope that stays this way. Only downside might be players not on teams who don´t want to risk their money. But than again, if they are good enough they will be picked up in a very short time (like seen in Scarletts cause). |

| I did specifically look for info about fees, and didn't see any (yet). I expected there to be one as I am sure it is one of the quickest ways to minimize time wasting entries into the tournament. |

I was referring to online qualifiers, but i guess i didn't make it clear. I know mlg charges and that helps limit no shows but for online qualifiers i think its good if everyone gets a chance, not saying that the people who cant afford it would even have a chance but at least it gives everyone a chance, and doesn't turn away players who might not be pro level.
They could do something similar to GSL and have a minimum required rank. |

| Charge away, putting money on the line keeps people in check. |

MLG and IPL both charge for online qualifying tournaments. |

There were 12 openings, 4 already dished out, 4 for this round, that leaves 4 for invites or another competition some how. There were invites last season, wouldn't be surprised to see some more. |

| I'd try to invite some interesting foreigners, like Scarlet, Suppy, Zikomini, JonnyREcco, Major (though without a team who would cover the bond?), I guess it depends who makes it through these qualifiers. |
