So as the title suggests before patch 1.5 i could download another persons replay and watch it just fine.

Now when DL'ing it, the image that comes up on my computer doesn't show it as a SC2 file anymore, it seems like it doesn't recognise the replay as a sc2 file and as such won't load the replay.

How do i go about solving this?

All my other replays launch when i have sc2 launched, and ingame.

But if i want to watch one outside of it, it doesn't seem to work, but all appear like the image.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Would anyone mind if i bumped this ?
I have the exact same problem, the replays that my SC2Gears saves are exactly the same way as this guy post and error when i try to open them :/
It worked fine for a while after 1.5 and i can't think of anything i did to "trigger" this other than clearing some old replays.

My reps are in C:\Users\*USERNAME*\Documents\StarCraft II\Accounts\65******\1-S2-*-*******\Replays\Multiplayer

Try putting them there, and load them from the SC2 "Multiplayer" replay tab.

Theory is when you know everything but nothing works. Practice is when everything works but no one knows why. In our lab, theory and practice are combined: nothing works and no one knows why.

The replays can be loaded in game just fine, but outside the game i can't 2x click them to load them/sc2 gear can't analyze them.

Blizzard REALLLLLLY don't want third party programs to open up their files huh.. Pisses me off a little, who cares if a program analyses replays T_T

Did you try the following?

Right click on File > Open With... > Browse > Starcraft 2 executable

Should work.

EDIT: Also make sure they have the right extension.
