CLEAN UP THOSE EMPTY BEER BOTTLES, BROODWAR PLAYERS, IT'S TIME FOR A HYPE THREAD.
Once in a great while, there comes a hype thread so confusing that it rocks humanity to it's very soul. Today is that day. Let me assure you though - this is really real - and I when I was asked to write a thread for the reps.ru finals hype thread at first I was like o_o!? but then I was like ok :D
Players:
EonKING - Weighing in at 225 lbs of pure solid muscle and 2% body fat, and standing 6'5, he has promised to "Bring the mother of all battles to DeWalt's frozen dead body" and has repeatedly said that he will completely obliterate DeWalt's face straight off of his face so bad that DeWalt will uninstall BroodWar, throw his computer off a roof onto the concrete pavement, and then run deep into the Siberian woods to off himself as food for the hungry Russian bears. Eonzerg's playstyle is very distinct, utilizing lots of offensive hatcheries, Queens, and mass Infested Terran bombings.
DeVault - Dewalt is a god-king from another dimension sent to grace the steppes of foreign BroodWar with his presence and poise. Defeating him will literally be an impossible task, as his fingers move so quickly that it actually sends shockwaves through the air and blows away the people around him. For this reason, his computer hardware has to bolted down with steel forged by the Hammer of Thor in fiery volcanoes of Vahalla itself. Dewalt has stated "My biggest strength is that I have no weaknesses, and come Monday, I will slam Eonzerg's face into a giant bowl of chocolate pudding."

The moment I logged into skype today, I literally had two people ask me to make a hype thread for this event. Unfortunately, the source OP is in Russian, and the casters for the English commentary, as well as their time, are not set. Pretty fucked-up, right? I am not responsible for any misinformation in this thread pertaining to the actual match's specific details. Furthermore, any updates, corrections, omissions I may have made and information I get regarding the match this coming Monday I will update/amend as soon as I can. This thread is not affiliated, nor endorsed by reps.ru, defiler.ru, or any of the parties mentioned in the thread. I am not affiliated with reps.ru or defiler.ru in terms of being a volunteer/paid staff/moderator/admin. All information regarding the players' backstories are fictionalized and should be taken as satire, not actuality or some shit like that. I think that just about covers everything.

Original idea was to make a tour for reps members and ppl who wanna join team reps for Gambit Cup.
Later some people who have a team already also wanted to play this tour just for practice.
There were no announces at TL since any english-speaking skilled/known person has a team for GC and our tour was mostly for russian speaking community.
So ppl who are usually online at defiler chat (hi coach!) could know about this and participate in it.

That may seem like a strange (and strangely fraught) way of putting things. the point of this thread is that reps needs one gosu player, who will join our team not only for GC3, but FOREVED (till the death). And this player must be not only gosu, but also mannered and have positive image in community.

I will update the thread with information about casting/VODs as I get the info. Eonzerg asked if iFU.BMW and myself could do an English cast for the match, but I haven't touched base with BMW on that, but I'm almost sure he'll be willing to do it. |
