I think it is finally setting in on me. Here is the end, but as sad as it is Brood War brought so many great memories. It, along with the players and communities are what made this game and Esports. This quote explains it much better than I ever could.

My life has changed forever. 13 years ive been watching this shit. i cannot believe it has come to an end. Thank you so much for posting this it is the part i wanted to see more than the games.

| While I'm definitely sad to see it go, I'm glad it was around for as long as it was. If someone had told me 10+ years ago that I'd still be able to watch SC:BW(much less be in Korea to be there for the end), I would've called them crazy. Been a great ride, and I'll continue to hopelessly fanboy over my favorite players as they try to build on their successes in this new game. |

There were translations in nanashin's IRC during the speech.
I don't remember what was said, but I could just feel the emotion in his speech again just watching it, especially when Kim Carrier was choking up.

Too emotional.
Im going to look up Kim Carrier and the other commentators and give them all a big hug. Thats how i feel right now; you can only imagine how emotional this must be for them when im sitting at home, watching the games on VODS and still tearing up. |

I guess that’s it. I can’t believe the most entertaining, most exciting and most passionate description of any sport I have ever cared about is over. It just seems so wrong and so depressing.
The funny pictures thread and K-pop discussion will bring me occasionally back to this website but that’s pretty much it. I used to watch a bit of kartrider and Sudden Attack when I had nothing better to do but no other E-sport remotely compares to what we have just lost.
