How well can you control the lights - what is it on a scale from sunlight to pitch black? Are you able to prop the projector up so it's directly level with the center of the projected image, or is it going to be lower? (Projectors can deal with that, just helps to know the degree to which it needs to be able to correct - that specific projector can do like up to 40deg or something) Also that specific projector is cheaper on newegg: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824219111Also, check the actual specs: http://www.optomausa.com/products/detail/TS551 It's technically a 800x600 4:3 xvga projector, but you can supposedly push it up to 1080p or higher.
The light is very controllable, I can easily block most light out with some curtains. In the middle of the day I could make it feel like dusk. I was thinking about buying or making a ceiling mount for it. The wall I will project on is about 6' 10'' high with a 9' width. I'm not too concerned if I can't fill up the whole wall, but I would like to get most of it. There is also a spot where an end table would fit to hold the projector that is 12' 6'' from the projection wall but would be off centered (6' on the left and 3' on the right).
Can the projectors deal with being off centered from the left and right or just up and down? |
