I would like to share with my fellows here at TeamLiquid that McDonald's (Canada) is open not just for your appetite, but also for your questions. McDonald's Canada opened a website to allow people to ask it questions about its food. I'm not in my hometown Toronto right now, and I haven't eaten in McDonald'd for two years, but this is sure fun to do when I get home.
What would you ask McDonald's TL? And what do you think about this move? Maybe this is a complementary program along with the Olympics? And why Canada?
Q: is there an anti-vomit in the mcdonald food A: There is absolutely no truth to this, Veronic. We do not add any drugs or medication of any kind to our food. Thanks for giving us the opportunity to put this rumor to rest.
Q: Why are there so many calories in the burger? A:Hey Chris. Well, the amount of calories vary from burger to burger. The burgers that contain more calories will have more ingredients. It's the sum of their parts but our standard hamburger patty only has 80 calories. If you've ever looking for ways to reduce the calories, you can always ask to have your burger without cheese or hold any of the other dressings. Our Making Informed Choices page is also a great resource to find a meal that is right for you and your lifestyle.
Q: How many calories in a large strawberry nilkshake? A: Hi there, 张佳文. Our large Triple Thick Strawberry Milkshake has 1110 calories - truly an indulgent (and delicious) summertime dessert!
Q: Does your Egg Mcmuffin use real eggs? They look too perfect. A: Thanks for your question Chris. The short answer is yes! Every Egg McMuffin sandwich is made with a freshly-cracked, Canada Grade A Large egg. To prove it, we made a video just for you. Check it out!
Q: Do you use peroxide in your burger buns? A: Hi Robin. We do use peroxide in our buns. Here's a bit of background as to why: Calcium Peroxide and Benzoyl Peroxide are commonly used in commercially available breads and other baked goods that you might find at your grocery store. Calcium Peroxide is a component of our Angus Third Pounder buns, as well as our regular buns, Big Mac buns and sesame seed buns. Calcium Peroxide allows the dough to be softer and drier, making it easier to work with. Benzoyl Peroxide, which can be found in our Angus buns, has been used for over 50 years to whiten flour. These ingredients produce bread that is lighter and larger in volume, with a finer grain and a lighter colour.

I heard this is true for most McDonalds outside the US. Heard stories about people eating at McDonalds after emigrating to US and being disappointed. Food regulations (or lack therof) here might have to do with it.
For whatever reason, one McDonalds I go is a lot better than every other McDonalds in the area. Their McChicken patties are so crispy and juicy. :O
These questions are cool and I like the answers given. Nice PR move.

My question is how do they work out the calories in their food? because the usual way is to set fire to it, and see how much energy is released, unfortunately that is not the way the human body processes energy and thus some foods with low calorie counts are actually much higher in energy (and therefore are more weight inducing) than others.
Also i loved it when i heard an employee describe their food as being "high energy - low calorie" food"... even though calories are simply a unit of energy. Twas epic fail

"Why does my homemade burger fill me up, but I can eat 5 of yours?" Maybe cause you're a fatty who makes her burgers five times the size of a McDonalds burger.

Oo i can answer this one kinda. I worked as a manager in KFC in England, and i know from our salads that the statement is true. The dressings we gave out made it so high in calories it was un true. It's not mega high over 1000 but it is rather high it makes a foot long subway more healthy xD
They need to make their french fries vegan. I'd feel weird supporting McDonalds, and probably only get them once in a really really blue moon(their stance on animal rights is lolz) but man could I go for some of their french fries.

Not true as far as I remember. I looked it up a few years ago when I was buying a meal daily on the commute. The salad was way less than 100 kcal, the Big Mac 500 kcal. The salads with something like chicken, bacon, nuts, etc. start to rival the burgers for calories, but I assume this is from those extra ingredients, so not because of the dressing.
