08 August 2012 (Las Vegas, USA) – SixPoolGaming.com today launches an exclusive StarCraft II strategy training video series with top professional Starcraft II player Greg ‘IdrA’ Fields – providing StarCraft II players a chance to learn from one of Starcraft’s most experienced and popular pros.

Although IdrA has a long history of balance whining, I think/hope he can be proffessional enough to keep them out of these videos. You wont improve more by saying something is stupid and unbalanced anyway.

Good for Idra and I'm actually glad that he and a couple other pros are willing to talk about balance when they see it. I don't like the pressure not to talk about balance, affirm it whenever able, criticise anybody who says this or that is not balanced.
Hard as it would be to prove imbalance if it existed (it is totally impossible to account for all potential situations and determine the impact of factors other than skill in such a way as to defeat someone who insisted that you had the burden of proof), Idra has more credibility when he says that imbalance exists than anybody (really anybody, even a player who's better than Idra is) who simply accepts it as a dogma that the game is balanced. And still quite a few people who do reach the conclusion on their own without accepting perfect balance as a dogma.
To his credit, I've heard that Idra once pointed out alleged imbalance that favoured his own race against another, and his words (if repeated properly) were that it would be imbalanced to use that advantage in that particular matchup. So in a way he could be interpreted as hinting that one should perhaps choose to play without using a perceived unfair advantage that the game allowed him to use. How is that poor sportsmanship on Idra's part?
