Hey,
I recently got me a new rig:

AMD Phenom II X4 960T @ 3 Ghz
NVidia GTX 560
4 GB RAM
Windows 7 64-bit

I thought I could play on Ultra just fine with this, and I can, but there's a huge problem. If for example I'm playing TvZ, moving my army through creep, then when battle begins (blings and lings go rolling out on me) I get a 2-5 second freeze and after that, if I'm still alive, it runs smoothly again. Usually I lose the battle hard because sometimes I can't even siege in time.

I already checked the temperatures and they are fine and I only get this problem in SC2...

What could it be caused by?

Well, there's the fact that blizzard in patch 1.5 did a lot of changes to the gtqphics engine, improvements and things like that.
So there you have it. Improved graphics that requires more of your computer.

Just tried that.. Still had a lag when banelings came

Could be your opponent whos is lagging.
One person can slow the game for all involved.

Thats actually true if your opponent has the same assets loading bug it can cause the game to hang for awhile for everyone. I hadn't considered this in the other thread actually.

But it lags and then catches up.. If we both lagged, it'd resume where it lagged, no?

I got the exact same problem, even when i run everything in low settings. I could'nt count how many game I lost because of that.
I still haven't found a solution, I hope someone can !
