In the recent patch it allows you to change your language but when i change it to korean it does not show up it just skips characters or only shows dots. Is there any way i can change this? Would be very greatfull if someone could help

PS i have korean installed as a language on my computer.

You might have to set your computer to tell programs to handle unicode in Korean, merely having a language installed isn't enough.

edit: It will change some others things too, e.g. when you go to type a backslash, \ , it will type ₩.

I have a strange problem where I can type Korean in game but I can't in the client chat rooms. it allows me to switch to it (the A icon to the right switches to hangul) yet it won't allow me to type any characters. I don't have any problems using it in other programs to my knowledge.

Erm well I'm not on a windows computer right now, so I can only try to remember. Go to control panel, language settings (whatever the section is called) and go to where you can select the keyboard language options. On one of the tabs above (there should be ~4) click to the 3rd or 4th one and it has a drop down menu where you can select which language your computer should tell programs to handle unicode in. I assume it will be set as a language other than Korean as default on your computer, so just change that.

You'll have to restart etc and your windows clock should say 오전 and 오후 instead of a.m and p.m in your system tray clock. Be warned though, when installing new programs it will default to Korean, rather than English installation.

I'm not to sure about the steps since I did this a while ago, but making the system default language in Korean doesn't do anything. The Korean default has English as an alternate keyboard, and you switch to it by pressing right alt. As it stands, my language is defaulted to Korean, but my computer starts up in English, programs default to English, and everything works the same as it was when my default was English (US).

Windows 7
Control Panel > Clock, Region, language > Change Keyboard/other input method > Keyboard/Language Tab, Change Keyboards button > Click Add and select Korean Microsoft IME and click OK, then change default input method to Korean Microsoft IME

Might need to restart computer, then use right alt key to switch between English and Korean
