Getting My Girlfriend into Diamond

Goal:
Starcraft 2 is a difficult game that requires some level of discipline to get good. However, no matter how difficult a task seems to be, I always believe that it can be broken down into many simple steps.
There are many many amazing tutorials out there in the community, such as Day9's Newbie Tuesdays (total life-saver). But because there are just so many things to learn, it can be difficult for a completely new player to know the order of what to learn first. I want to break down all the good things I've learned and apply it into a step by step learning guide. With my method, I believe even my girlfriend can get into diamond.

| Three games a day for someone who doesn't want to play will get you no where. Sure you can win games with someone telling you exactly what to do through the game but that equates to cheating in my book anyway. As soon as left to your own devics the player is near enough back to square one |

As someone in a similar situation as OP, I can tell you that even if she doesn't particularly enjoy playing it - she'd much rather play than watch me play all day while she just watches random shit in my room.
Plus, she actually enjoys watching me play at times, and I enjoy watching her play. Good bonding time. So if I'm going to spend a bunch of time playing games, why not at least try and get her involved so she understands a bit? Better than just letting her sit to the side with no clue.

Watching the placement matches was entertaining, the fact that she didn't notice that 2 scvs were idle was pretty funny and her build order was.. unique 
She is better than many people I know though, she seems to have an idea of how to play the game effectively even if she can't quite execute it yet. I will keep an eye out for future episodes, good luck to her! |

Yes she'd probably rather play than watch you play but I'm sure she would prefer if you actually got off SC2 for once and did something with her...
If you can't be bothered to spend time with her then maybe you don't need a gf right now - which is fine, since your priorities lie in playing SC2 |
