Is the amount of circuit challengers that the European circuit had not a lot lesser then the American circuit? Now I see the line and i don't think we really got the best representation of our region.
Teams like Teamless and Navi really need to represent the EU region. So sad that only ESL organised tournaments gave points and we dont got IPL/MLG organisation that host it (except 1 DH tournament ofcourse).

For nearly the entirely of Season 2, only the NA Troika and Moscow 5 have really placed very highly in tournaments. It means you have teams like Moscow 5 with over 1000 Circuit Points, but Seeds 6 onwards barely break 100. Also, major teams like Sypher and Millenium who would be around Seeds 4-6 disbanded which left a vacuum as well. |

EU definitely gets the shorter end of the stick because there are definitely fewer circuit worthy tournaments, compared to NA.
Teamless and Na'Vi, they weren't at ECC either. Was it because they failed to qualify or what's up? I hear those two names fairly often but I don't recall the last time I saw them at an offline.
Edit: and like Moon said, disbanded teams took a huge chunk of points, which contributes to why EU looks like it has far less circuit points.Last edit: 2012-08-15 01:52:31 |

The problem is with these kind of tournament is that we have also have our down syndrome server Nodic -East that gets same amount of slots for European only tournaments, so DH and ECC were both like these. And because Europe West got the most skilled teams and M5 and CLG EU they got the first 2 spots of the available 4(and the Ocelote world and SK team also got slots). The rest all went to Nordic-East teams (3 slots for grabs and 1 mandatory for a Polish team).
Teamless went to one lan unfortunately this wasnt a official tourney for RIOT ,the reign of gaming in SF. Where they placed before curse gaming eu.
+ the IEM were for teams like Teamless just not reachable when you look at the travelcost.Last edit: 2012-08-15 02:03:07 |

navi decided to go to Korea, and didnt qualify for ECC. Teamless no clue
the EU scene (specially SK, aAa and a few others) had a lot of rooster changes or complete reworks since the start of the circuit which means their points were lost, at the same time Fnatic grabbed a huge chunk of points from their season 1 victory but havent been able to secure to much after that. M5 dominated the two bigger circuit events prior to ECC (oh wait they took this one aswell, though contested by CLG.EU who secured DH) |
