Well, it seems that I am looking indeed for the ideal computer :/
What do you guys think about the VIZIO CT14?
By the way, thank you very much @Rollin for that, it seems like I do not really want an ULV, but I might have no other option. I would be OK for me to run in 720p resolution for SC2, I have to do that in my desktop right now (which is 1080p native). For practice purposes, I'll bear with it |

I'm talking about the Asus Zenbook UX32VD Ultrabook, which is in fact an ultrabook and even one of the lighter, slimmer ones.
The screen is 1920x1080 in matte, but you would have to install your own SSD, which doesn't seem too difficult but would be an extra ~150 Euros.

Vizio's laptops have the build and screen right. Everything else is weak: trackpad is garbage, keyboard is unresponsive, battery life is extremely low and more comparable to a typical laptop. |

I never understand what this means, for the resolution of this ultrabook: Display: 13.3" 16 HD with EWV (1366 x 768) /IPS FHD (1920x1080)
But it looks fishy
If the VIZIO has everything bad apart from screen, I won't go for it thank you:D
/e: OK now I understand. Will the 1080p mode have very bad viewing angles / be unwatchable? The main reason why I need a dedicated GFX card is so I can use another screen alongside the main laptop one, do you think this one could do that through DVI?
It looks great! I might buy this one
/e2: UX32-VD seems to be discontinued / can't find how to buy it anywhere. Also I heard it gets amazingly hot?Last edit: 2012-08-18 23:43:21 |

Yeah, I've heard you can do a 3 way monitor setup (2 externals + lappy screen) on whirlpool forums before (on a zenbook prime it was, but it will be the same on a vd), I'll see if I can dig it up.
EDIT: Ok, turns out you can only have 2 on at a time , lappy + external through DP, lappy + hdmi or hdmi + DP. Still useful to be able to use two external monitors I guess.Last edit: 2012-08-19 00:00:12 |

Either way I only have one external monitor, so it's not a big deal!
I will wait until amazon has it for spain or UK (since I'd rather have spanish or english keyboard).
Thank you very much for the help guys, really appreciated |
