Hi guys,
Over at Cadred our resident features writer Jeff Kim has put together a list of the five Brood War players he feels will have the most impact on the SC2 scene when they move over and the reasons why.
An extract from the article reads:
The Dong
The one person that I believe will surpass Flash in the lifetime of Starcraft 2 will be Jaedong (Zerg), however bold one may call that statement; he's embraced the fans, appreciates the love his followers have given him and his Zerg playstyle is reminiscent of Brood War (baneling ramp block especially). As we've looked at before, his history gives him enough to brag about, without even touching on his current skill in Starcraft 2 and his outgoing personality. He's in his early twenties and made salaries that most can only dream of, eclipsing six figures at one point in time.

I don't really think you can predict this sort of stuff, couple months back everyone was saying Bisu was going to be the best BW player at SC2 if they switched over, that Bisu multitasking would make it so he would beat everyone but look at what happened.

| Still feel it is way too early to decide which BW pros will succeed at SC2. We have some glimpses of potential, but those aren't concrete levels of skill currently. The only players I really see doing well in SC2 on that list is EffOrt and Jaedong, but the other three I'm not convinced. |

That's why Bisu should have switched to Terran. His multitasking abilities are wasted in WoL. |

| Way, way too early to tell. It doesn't even look like all of them are 100% committed to playing just Sc2 yet, so it's hard to say. Bisu himself said in an interview that the way he got good at BW was just practising and experimenting. Doesn't look like he's gotten around to doing that yet. |

Just wait till HOTS. I could see Bisu microing 5-7 oracles all game long. They will be like annoying bees buzzing around people. Its gonna be funny |

Nah I dont think hell do that good, I do think Flash will be pretty good (about TZ's level when he was at his peak) but I don't really think he will ever be able to truly compete with top Korean pros. JD I see going on to do really well, maybe win code A a couple times, get into code S ro8 or ro4. EffOrt I don't really know much about, I'm relatively new to the Starcraft scene (started following mid-2011) but this is my personal opinion.
I've done some research and I don't think that hero will do much better than Code B, Flash getting into Code A and placing consistently high there but not being able to break through that barrier to Code S. JD I see having no problem getting into Code S, I see him winning Code A a couple times as I said. I think he could eventually get into the top 5 players in the world. EffOrt I'm guessing will probably make it to top Code A. As for Reality I think he could be a top player on a team like the old ZeNEX.

I understand that you're new to the new scene, but I think that you are massively underestimating the kespa pros and especially flash when you say that he won't be able to make code s |
