What do you think about when bored?

I'm bored, so I decided to make a fairly pointless thread ^^

Anyway, when you aren't doing anything/ you're bored or whatever, what do you think about?

Inb4 sex, I will reveal the complex connections made between my nuerons.

As a big sc2 fan, I often imagine micro battles in my head. A Terran army fighting a seemingly undestroyable army, but with perfect pulls, splits, lifts and drops with medivacs, a small flank to take out weak exposed units (Infestors, HT, etc), hold position scv's, and even landing my barracks flying above the chaos to form walls and prisons for melee units, the terran will survive with just a few units to spare.

Now, as impossible as it seems- I think of even more pointless stuff.... For example, a lot of inception Mudapucker shit. "I wonder if other people think about what I'm thinking... and if they do, will they figure out that I'm thinking about what they are thinking about my thoughts? And if so, how long will the cycle of repeating inferences on my thoughts continue? And how long would the cycle even have to go on for continuation of the chain to become obsolete/pointless?"

I also think about religion a fair amount, but mostly the thoughts are always the same. There are only so many things to ponder after all, so there are usually only slight occasional changes in my beliefs on matters of God.

And of course... I think about da bang bang. Don't judge me -.-

when i see planes in the sky, i wonder if i've ever met/going to meet anyone on the plane in my past/future. it gets me nostalgic for some reason lol.

When I'm bored? I think about how much my life sucks because I can't find anything to do. I usually wander in thought and brow beat myself because I can't seem to entertain myself. Finally, I get on TL and read and post in threads to quiet the boredom.

For me it depends on what I'm doing besides being bored ha. For example when I'm at work I generally think about what I should do when I get off work, how many more trips I can go without having to get gas again, how long I think I can put off laundry, whether I want to drink beer or whiskey later. If I'm lets say settling down from a night of drinking then my thoughts generally are fuzzy and suicidial or horny if there's any ladies around. Or I'm thinking about food. Gawd do I like food.

Aside from mentally revisiting conflicts, verbal or otherwise, and speculating on how I could of executed the situation better, my mind tends to focus on a decided topic that I want to think through and consider my opinion on, or rant to myself about.

I'm generally never bored when in a waiting room, long drives or any other activity that requires me to wait for a period of time, because I can entertain myself with my thoughts reasonably well. Although I prefer to have a book to read, anyway, so that deciding on my own thoughts never becomes necessary in the first place.

On a separate note, while I won't judge you for thinking about sex, I refuse to reserve judgement regarding the phrase:

da bang bang

When I'm bored I think about making a blog, maybe you should too

Seriously though, I like to think about the wonders of the planet we live on. I look at photos of places I've traveled and try to imagine seeing every place in the world. And not just seeing, but experiencing! I think that we are so sheltered living in the affluent parts of the world that most of us do. To really understand what I mean by that, think of central India, or western China or other areas that are so different from here. It's exciting to think about the diversity that exists amongst us.

I still sometimes do this and it's oh so embarrassing

I take a lighter or my iPhone and pretend it's an alien blaster and start destroying all my invisible opponents trying to attack my home.

The meaning of life and things I could've solved much more simply.

People I stepped on and people who stepped on me.

Other then those various tasks I need to finish throughout the week.

The main thing I think about when I'm bored is whatever my current drive/interest is in life(for example, after Beta it was SC2, right now it's chess, sometimes it's math or science, sometimes art, whatever I find interesting at the time).

Secondly would probably be sex/hot chicks.

Thirdly would probably be thinking of ways I could improve myself(working out, stuff of that nature).

Fourthly, I have a weird ability to just... put my brain on idle for quite a while. Sometimes when I'm bored/tired I can sit in a chair for up to 2 hours and not think of anything. Not sleeping, just kind of not-fully-in-it. Sometimes this happens when I'm standing, too. And when I'm really tired I idle out while walking.

My failures are my fault. My successes are my fault. To think otherwise is to throw away responsibility for my self.

Lots of things. Currently, my three most common things to think about are how I would react to a foreign invasion of the US, how awesome thorium is and how it could improve the world, and last, how exactly I can begin collecting WW2 paraphernalia and what I should get first.

I don't think.

In the last 7 months I have listened to around 29 audiobooks, big ones too like Wheel of Time, ASoIaF, Mistborn, TheWayOfKings, etc.

I have a boring job where i sit at a computer screen for 6-7 hours and I had to find something to do, so audiobooks became my love

i generally daydream and what i daydream about is typically along the lines of:
how i would react if some random event (such as if a mass murderer showed up and started shooting people) occurred
racing motorcycles (or cars, usually motorcycles) particularly in the isle of man tt competition (which is a far off dream to me)
sex, though more along the lines of a healthy relationship since sex alone isn't ridiculously hard to come by (me fail at relationships yet still manage to get one night stands without problem O_o)
playing sc2 professionally (somehow i highly doubt that i'm the only one who daydreams of playing in a booth on this site)
performing music on my saxophone in front of a large audience (that would be amazing were it to occur)
where my life is going vs where i want it to and what i have to do to change that
how a build works and how to better work on multitasking in sc2 (my micro sucks but i try to make up for that by dropping shit everywhere during battles

)
and general what ifs? "what if i existed in the pokemon world as a trainer?" and other awesome stuff
