Here’s how it works: After you hit level 60, any further experience you earn from killing monsters will begin to count toward Paragon levels There are 100 Paragon levels Every Paragon level will reward you with: Core stats such as Strength, Dexterity, Intelligence, and Vitality in amounts similar to what you’d gain from a normal level 3% Magic Find and 3% Gold Find In addition, a distinctive increasingly-impressive border will surround your character portrait in the in-game party frame to denote your Paragon progression, with a new frame earned after every ten levels. Your Paragon level will also be visible to other players wherever your normal level is shown

Wow, they basically added in leveling to level 160, with some added bonus on top. That's pretty damn awesome.
And holy cow, 300 magic and gold find built into your character at Paragon level 100? This progression system is exactly what this game needed.
edit: Not sure how I feel about the 300% hard cap on MF, though.

you are aware that paragon 100 will take ages to achieve? you'll easily get a few weeks of use out of your stacked mf, spare for two or three items being replaced by early paragon levels ;P |

| Yeah, I'd like to see the cap maybe at 400% or something, just so MF gear has a little bit of value in the endgame. But it looks like it will take so extremely long to get there that 99% of players wont even get close. |

Love it. My main endgame farmer is a DH with around 170 ish magic find. It's difficult for me to upgrade anything because getting slightly better stats at the cost of magic find feels like I'm shooting myself in the foot.
I felt the same way in the end with Diablo 2. I felt that they should have reduced the importance of MF on gear in D3 and it looks like they're finally going in the right direction.Last edit: 2012-08-21 02:04:56 |

| One thing is that the magic find is capped at 300, so the more you progress the lower the premium on mf items. Ultimately at level 100,they are useless. |

Great change. I mean, it'll affect the "fun" gameplay only marginally. But people who already grind a lot will find a it a bit more enjoyable if they see another XP bar raise.
And the less important MF on item gets the better. |
