Reading .swm files

Hi. My laptop died. I recovered all the data months before tho, lucky me. I have 4 CDs that staples did for me.

They are in .swm format when i open them in my PC computer.

I'm wondering, is there anyway for me to put the data onto my PC? I can't afford a new laptop and I need some info off the disks.

Thanks for your help in advance!!

Additional info:
disk says warning: this disk will erase your files.

obviously i dont want to delete my files, or else i would just reboot the computer and follow prompts.

if I recall, swm files are system recovery files. With this in mind, it should be possible to create a virtual machine with whatever operating system was backed up, then do a system restore from disk. This will put all your files on the virtual machine, from there, just copy what you want.
