My computer is unable to boot windows. When I start it up, I will have 2 options, start windows normally and repair. If I were to choose the repair option, there will be a 'windows is loading files' bar and when it is competed, the computer will not load but just reboot. If I choose the start normally function, I will be at the 'starting windows' screen. From there on my computer will either get stuck or reboot.
I went to get my Windows CD and tried to load boot from the CD. However the computer will just reboot whenever it attempts to load Windows. I tried Safe mode, Last known Configuration etc but the computer still reboots.
I can still configure everything in BIOS just fine, but my computer just can't seem to load Windows. I don't know what is the problem.
Here are my specs if needed: i5 2500k GTX 560TI Intel SSD 320 40gb (Windows is installed in here) 1 TB hard disk |

When you tried to boot from CD, did you set the bios to Boot from CD drive? Also, check your RAM. |

When turning on your PC, after the BIOS, press the F8 key. This will bring up other booting options of your windows.
Select "Disable automatic restarting of Windows"
If your PC is restarting during the booting process the result is a blue screen (normally you don't see it because it restarts). You should get an error code comprising of 0x####### (where # could be numbers or letters) and maybe something near the top such as IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL_TO
AFAIK, usual 2 suspects: 0x000007B = you probably toggled between AHCI and IDE mode for detecting SATA drives. May occur if you had to do a BIOS reset/upgrade. 0x0000024 (UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME) = usually bad sector on hard drive. Run a "chkdsk /f /r /x /b" on a different PC. |
