The time has come for our next Amateur Ro32 match of the IGN Pro Team League!

When: August 23 2012 16:00 PDT[local] (we will also rebroadcast repeatedly afterwards!)

Format

This single-elimination tournament features 26 teams from around the world and is an All-Kill team format. This match is being played for Ro32. The first team to defeat everyone on the opposing team's roster (5 wins, or a best of 9), will move on to the Ro16, while the loser will be eliminated. Keep in mind that the top 4 teams of this bracket will graduate into the IPTL Contender Division next season!

Gotta say also, this was an extremely fun team war, and GA is a pretty awesomely mannered team to play against. I think everyone had a pretty great time!

In a way the amateur division is fun BECAUSE this type of play still has a chance of working. Kinda like college football, I guess.

There was a brief time when it was a not completely ridiculous build against the Leenock-esque walloff with a macro hatch, queen and two spine crawlers (if I remember correctly...) because you'd cast the nuke on the spine crawlers, either killing them or causing the queen and spine crawlers to uproot and run away, at which time you'd cancel the nuke and run in with hellions and stuff.

That was late 2011. It wasn't nearly as much of a rush as this though. You also didn't pull all the SCVs.
