Henderson had to pull out of fight due to partial mcl tear.
Wow this sucks. Chael sonnen accepted a fight with jon jones on ufc 151 original date, but jon jones turned it down
As a result, UFC 151 completely canned.
Not bad for Toronto

Give me a break. I'm sure in the end people will give Long Bones Jones credit where it's due.
Henderson has pretty stiff movement in the cage in either case. Never thought he had much of a shot but he does have good KO power.
Anyway, we need stiffer competition. |

Jones and Greg Jackson decide to turn down the fight, and thereby screw the whole card over.
I feel sorry for the fighters who were on that card beside the main event. Talk about not being a company man. Dana said that if Jones refuses the Lyoto fight there will be another presser and all hell will break loose. |

Apparently Chael is willing to give his fight purse to Jon Jones and everything..
Shitty move from Jon Jones and Greg Jackson. They just screwed over all the fans that bought tickets for the event, and most importantly all the fighters who've been training fucking hard that need to fight to get paid. |

Never thought I would give Chael even an ounce of respect.
Should add that Jones has also said "I don't want to fight Lyoto Machida," Jones said. "He was my lowest pay-per-view draw of last year. "No one wants to see me fight Lyoto Machida. I don't want to fight Lyoto again. Lyoto is high risk and low reward."

| Ugh I feel bad for the other 20 fighters on this card. Reading some of the tweets/updates a lot of them are really getting boned over the card being cancelled. I'm not saying that's Jone's problem to worry about other fighters but that really sucks for these lower tier fighters. |

| I want to know who Dana asked to fight him and turned down the fight. I live in Albuquerque where the Jackson camp is and the Jackson fighters (counting Jones, four of them were on this fight card) often come onto the local radio show's morning show. Wow Jone Jones fucked over a lot of people here. The fighters, the camps, and most importantly all the people that have took time off work, bought non-refundable plane tickets, etc who are just screwed now.
I'm all for a champ maybe declining a fight or two, but when push comes to shove, be the champ. |

with the ticket prices UFC is attempting to charge ...
they had to add a very big fight to the Toronto event because there is ZERO interest in this town for the mid-card talent on the line up.

A one-dimensional wrestler who is moving up from a lower weight class, I mean, for someone with a strong wrestling base who is going to have a massive striking advantage, that must be like christmas came early. |

the UFC is spreading each card too thin... they are making promises to cable TV and PPV for too many events making each event very watered down.
The people of Toronto will voice their displeasure loud and clear with the stone cold silence of a half filled building.
Its time Dana White stopped pointing fingers and took a look at how he has contributed to a situation where one injured fighter causes the cancellation of an entire card. |

Then he should have said that, he said that he didn't want the fight because it was too short notice, not because it was ''too easy''. And even if it is ''too easy'' of a fight, he could still have taken it just for the sake of keeping the card stable, and after abusing Sonnen on route to a fast victory, he would be looking at a Machida/Henderson match later in the year/early next year, I don't see why the would be any reason to rush. |

| the problem is that chael sonnen isn't a good fighter, and aside from his mouth he is insanely boring to watch. even for people who train and understand his methods. he can barely hold his own at LHW, let alone compete in the top 5. this new trend of point fighting based on shit judges is getting old fast. let us not forget reality. |
