If you're like me, you notice that you sometimes grow tired of seeing the same environmental surroundings.

At the same time, you may feel a sense of ignorance to beauty due to prolonged exposure.

I feel as if there are more beautiful places in the world but I don't think anything can truly replace (for better or worse) your knowledge of the terrain you experience on a day to day basis, for some times years at a time without distant travel.

I ask of you to post a picture of your backyard.
Let us see what you see when you step out back.

Here is my backyard.

@OP my dogs would love to pee on that tree . I'll get around to taking and posting a pic sooner or later.
I no longer expect the best in people. Sadly, I am beginning to expect much worse.

This is a really good idea for a thread, OP! I'll definitely be posting mine soon. As soon as I get my hands on a camera that isn't built into my cell phone.

I really loved my parents backyard. It was really big and relaxing. During my summer breaks back when I was high school, I would go go sit in my backyard and just daydream while watching the trees/garden and shit.

Bad time/day to take a picture. The playhouse casts a dark shadow over most of the yard so I got what I could in one picture. My baby trees are struggling to survive. The haze is from the wildfires =(

^^keeping the promise. I must admit I am a little disappointed with the scenery considering summer is done (wish i got my phone earlier) :/. My grandma was a farmer back in S. Korea and lived in the rural area. She has quite the experience. She gets up about 6am and works out there for about 4 hours on the backyard.

here is our side yard. Think those are chives and scallions?. Usually in summer the plots is full of red pepper plants. But because of the season we are currently done for now.

Go through the door:

We are currently growing a persimmon tree (although had to chop one down due to the roots killing the garden) and some more scallions xD. The plants in front of the tree are the pumpkins getting ready for October (korean pumpkins are delicious and much more nutritious however less sweet. Also the leaves are nutritious and edible once cooked) and the spade shaped leaves are certain Korean herbs of which I do not know the name of (high fiber and lots of vitamins A and C).

I'll try to get better pictures once spring and summer rolls. It is quite dead in the back especially in the winter since there are little options to grow. Usually its highly populated with red peppers, egg plants, chives, pineapple, aloe vera, tomatoes sometime and some other herbs I don't know the name to.
It's beautiful to say the least in summer and spring. Very vibrant and green environment. It is like a little ecosystem we have going with bugs, birds, predators (snakes, yikes), citrus rats (ugh hear them at night :/) and all sorts of things populating the area. Its cool to be able to walk up to the critters like lizards and birds since they are so use to my grandma's presence.

Unfortunately the leaves are starting to turn yellow. Winter incoming.
